I'm happier for my taxes to pay for a royal wedding than for nuclear weapons. They can do what the hell ever with my taxes. They're going to take it no matter what, they're going to misuse it no matter what. Who cares about the specifics?

In essence, they are spending your money on supporting the US developing most of the weapons, and parading the royals as the dignified face of capitalism. Nobody would ever give Americans credit for much dignity, while the royals have been practicing for centuries.

 

I just don't feel it's my money.
I'm only unhappy if I'm not happy, and I'm happy..
So why pretend to be unhappy about some made up system of turning food and shelter into numbers. I'd like to buy things I can't yet afford but I don't feel any sense of dissatisfaction with life. People get so indignant about it all.

 

When your belly is full, its easy to be content. That's why there is no effective opposition left in the US to the lily white republican party destroying everything. Any other factors aside like some things mentioned above. I personally think their parents (including the Royal family and tax payers) shouldn't financially contribute anything to their marriage, it should be her and him only who pay for their marriage after all he is very well off so he can easily afford it - I dunno what she does for an income.

I'm 50/50 about the Royals. Its a huge discussion.
