i'm biased because i just came out of eh nn's most recent thread. really, i'm not sure how you could even determine this. i feel like a truly great troll might not even be identifiable as a troll.
Spanky, you know, from the little rascals, but know one knows who Spanky truly is. he changes his name, masks his ip, she phreaks, he phishes, she fake WAPs, he could be you, she could be your neighbour, he could be you Mom or your Dad! She might be both, she could be Obama, he might be Hilary, or she could be Dun Dun Dun TRUMP know one knows. She is the international man of mystery!
Honestly, though, I think the biggest troll is the News in the USA. They have worked really hard to create upset and divide. And done it in plain sight without anyone realizing that they are trolling. They have created Discord & upset and are trolling a nation.
We have had one or two contenders here in this forum. But thankfully Karma and Mods soon booted them out.
Ken M was named by Time Magazine one of the most influential people on the internet in 2016. He spent years turning toxic comment spaces into something less harmful by posting purportedly serious comments featuring poor spelling and faux stupidity. The person in that troll suit is actually a guy in his late-30s from Florida who moved to NYC and was employed full time as a copywriter for Comedy Central. He spent his free time trolling internet news comment boards pretending to be a dufus and trying to make people laugh at his verbal and logical foibles. He was quite a magnet for the hateful comments of those who took him seriously and attacked him for his apparent innocence.
I dread to think! But if you don't mind me asking, and I am not meaning to be 'funny' at all. When I look at your lovely sexy Avatar picture there, and your forum name I automatically assumed, wrongly of course, that you are a Woman. Particularly when you say you are 'voice of sexy'. I am just making the observation, but if you would care to reply to my 'observation' you could perhaps satisfy my sad mind on the matter! Cheers! PS. No Troll intended!
Hello Irm. Tell you what young Woman. I alway love seeing you whenever you make a post. You are always friendly and helpful and nice and you have a good sense of humour and you make me feel good. And of course you are the opposite of a Troll. I hope I haven't made anyone want to throw up there. But A guy just has to say what a guy has to say!
i guess those things are all left over from a different era. my username was something i came up with when rejoining the site after the first major upgrade in 2004 forced everyone to re-register. at the time i was drunk and in my underwear, and i thought that this would be a hilarious username. back in those days, avatars were just selected from a list of random images already included on the site. so nobody had an avatar that was a picture of themselves. after the great forum purge of 2009 i joined a few (and actually ended up building/admining one of them) of the offshoot sites. all of those allowed custom avatars, and at one point i got the idea that if i used a picture of a hot girl, i would get to see a picture of a hot girl every time i posted. then when i returned to hipforums and they upgraded the software to allow custom avatars, i continued that tradition here. back in those days, we had a very entertaining troll named dark suger (yes, sugar was misspelled in its name). i say "it" because this character could be male, female, both, or neither depending on the thread. in general, it was just a genderless character that wanted to fuck everyone and everything. at the time, my custom title (or whatever it's called) was "voice of reason" because i enjoyed pointing out when people were talking out their ass. at one point, dark suger made the comment to me "voice of reason, it should be voice of sexy." i thought that was funny so i changed it. so none of it was ever meant to be misleading, and at the original time and in the original context i really don't think any of it was. as avatar selfies became more common, my avatar became something that could be considered misleading, but i still don't think there's any rule that says an avatar is supposed to be a picture of the poster. the other things might seem like something a sluttish woman might use, but they are actually both gender neutral. definitely the primary difference between myself and the gender faking trolls is that i never claimed to be a woman, and i actually state otherwise fairly often. if people decide to jump to conclusions, that's on them.
Well thank you very much for giving me such a thorough and very interesting explanation I'm. So now I know! Cheers. Kenny.
