Super cool! I dig these ancient vanished civilization doccies. I just read an awesome novel set in South Africa, so my interest in this region of the world has been piqued. Yo, I know, they're different countries, but they are neighbors, I'm sure.
I'm curious to know what the people based this construction idea on? Had they seen some other structure that they wanted to copy?

This just keeps on getting more and more interesting. Considering its a landlocked area, they must have had some route to the ocean, to somewhere in whatr is now Mozambique, to do all that trading.
