Gothic rock seems to win in popularity in Belgium...went to a gig last week from Star Industry band founded in 1996,they went worldwide=China,Spain,Greece etc...i do lke their sound
My city doesn't have a huge gothic rock scene, but through Bandcamp recommendations sent my way I've been able to come across some good bands scattered throughout the Southwest. Frozen Charlottes (based in Santa Ana) is one I like in particular; their album Wax Venus is a surprisingly-mellow listen. One song sort of blends into another on this album, which makes for some nice atmospheric gloominess.
