Does anyone here have a taste for gothic music? This excludes modern rock bands that are mistakenly tagged with "goth" (eg: HIM, Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, Nightwish, etc.) I'm speaking of bands that are often categorized as deathrock, darkwave, (dark) post punk and so forth. I'm sure everyone knows The Cure and maybe Joy Division but how about other classic bands like Dead Can Dance, Bauhaus or The Birthday Party? There's lots of great stuff that tends to get overlooked outside of the goth scene. I listen to more of the bands from the 80's but there have been modern ones that are worth a listen too.
