    If you're serious about the peace corps, as mentioned in your sig, you're going to need more education than a couple years of high school.

    It can be an OK step depending on what you do with it

    i would recommend trying to get an apprenticeship in something you are interested in and get a taste for what its really like

    A friend on mine interned at the Atlanta Newspaper when he was 16, and got tons of good experience before he decided to go to college for Journalism, the experience may have been more valuable than the schooling. He has written for many magazines and newspapers since then, and is now back at the Atlanta one

    This is what I recommend too. Experiment with something applied first, go to school second.
