I plan to make an alcoholic part 2 later, but this time welcome all hedonistic and potentially destructive activities.

I'm training my dog to be a certified therapy dog, so I can go make some terminally ill and otherwise dying people smile. out of curiousity, can you do that with a cat?

If the patient is a cat lover and the animal is social then cats can be very therapeutic.

Dogs are MUCH easier to train... cats'll just look at you then casually walk away as if to say "fuck that noise".

makes sense. in my experience, cats seem to be lacking that strong desire to please.

I'm curious as to why someone would choose a pitbull over say,a lab or cocker or other breed.

Oh come on that's not why. I will admit having a pit bull IS somewhat badass.

But also they re a kind loving smart loyal breed. And their a damn good looking breed on top of all that.

Just because some people are animals people demonize animals.

Yes... most cats are not followers either. The better portion of cats I've encountered usually are only social when they are hungry. Tough to train a animal that ignores you.

honestly, handle them gently while they're still nursing. get them used to your scent, bribe them with those pounce treats by shaking the bottle then giving them one. they'll come to that sound years later. make consistent sounds when you want their attention, and get a spray bottle to hit them with whenever they get on the counter. make a harsh sound at them while you do it and eventually they'll respond to that sound and not the spray bottle. my cats follow me everywhere and are constantly loving, cuddly and mostly obedient. they are cats, it's not a perfect science.
