I think they are related, just as depression is closely related, bi-polar disorder, etc.

but, not every woman with a drug problem was touched as a child (not saying using drugs is a problem unless it's meth or PCP, but at a certain point, it becomes one)

someone I know in person mentioned the high rate of that, jokingly, so I started looking for clips, and sure enough, every woman I've seen on that show except for one, has had a past of molestation, and I think A&E weights that way for the sake of ratings.

which, imo, keeps people from getting help who might need it
