for shooting a BB gun out in the desert..haha..they were checking our campsite for shells, but none were to be found. They told us not even BB guns can be shot there because the animals may eat the BB's..huh? what? they found our slingshot to, they said "no slingshots" WTH! Good thing they did not find our fireworks! Geez, The 1 Ranger lady was happy we had our fire in a metal bucket though, also happy that our dog was on a leash even though no one was holding the leash. Funny, how you can be in the middle of nowhere and then next thing ya know, here come the police..errr. umm..I mean the Rangers
resourse damage from a BB? what about the Navy ships that throw tons of trash into the ocean everyday?
What Antithesis said ...:2thumbsup: Lorna, obviously you weren't "in the middle of nowhere" The BB thing seems a little ridiculous though, I could see it if it was lead shot, but BB's are steel. No slingshot? That seems bogus too... hell you could be hurling rocks with the slingshot. Gotta do what the Ranger says though I guess...I'd look up the regulation if I were you, and if it's not true, stand up to the fuckers next time.
People litter more than I do; therefor it's ok if I litter. Sounds like the logic that got us into this mess.
In California slingshots are illegal and considered a deadly weapon. You can use them for hunting, but you need permits.
Checked it out, you can hunt non-game species only w/slingshot. You only need your conservation card. If you are in a state or national park where hunting isn't allowed carrying a slingshot would be of course, illegal Fishing poles are illegal here in Montana.... but only where fishing isn't allowed! :mickey:
That's ridiculous. What else aren't you allowed to have there? Where I live, I can go buy a shotgun right now and be out in the country shooting it in no time. Nobody would say anything if I wasn't hunting or too close to a house or something.
I was camping in the White Mountain National Forest and after a long day of strenuous hiking some dip-shit Park Ranger told me I couldn’t sleep in my car; so I drove home nearly falling asleep behind the wheel and driving off a 50 foot ravine Hotwater
Me and some friends went up to the mountains to camp and drop acid. So we found a really cool spot in which to partake on our adventure, and everything was going great until we saw a sign that read "No Overnight Camping" Anyways we were already to wasted to leave so we stayed. Luckily nobody showed up and we left shortly after sunrise.
