I usually don't because of the hassle. My latest voyage was down into Silverlake to stay for the weekend I saw Tiesto & Digweed respectively. There's packing and planning and driving. lol The coffee was good, though it was rather pricey. Silverlake is notorious for being a bit upscale; which is fine but not my style. I'm more frugal than $4 for a small or whatever it was. But I actually enjoyed the atmosphere. What a change of pace!
the best trip i ever made was Japan==Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo-Nara-Hiroshima--Kobe i remember cat café in Shinjuku Tokyo...because..i love cats i have a soft corner for South East Asia=Malaysia-Thailand etc...
if you give the mod team to much work ,then the entire thread goes "poof".. we absolutely havent the time for that,, traveling from tree to tree.. thanks. you cool now..
Oh yeah, the thing about U.K. cities (can't be bothered to find right post to quote!).. I don't know really.. it's just the images that come to mind are all negative. Grey and littered.. but I know that probably isn't fair and I haven't seen enough of them from the right perspective. When I cycled through France I went through Nantes and that just felt so much better organised.. or something. And cleaner. But I'm not really a city person so what do I know : ) I like Bath!
Think globally. In comparison to other parts of the globe. If i really thought Europe would provide me with a far more richer cultural and diverse nature experience from my own environment than that of Africa, i would have been interested in traveling to Europe. And yes, in comparison to others parts of the world, Europe appears much less foreign and less interesting. You don't have to agree but its not that difficult to at least understand. At least i don't think it is. Of course. The same could be said about every continent. I won't doubt you. I know shit about my own country let alone any other.
Always interesting to read what places people choice. And i wonder what they look for when selecting a place.
There are parts of the US/Canada that are very much European in culture and even architecture. I’d say Europe is a lot closer to the US than somewhere like Indonesia.
If you’re interested in seeing authentic Wild West places, come to Jacksonville, Oregon, and I’ll buy you a pint at the saloon.
Just over 6 months until I go to Australia. Also thinking of doing something for out 1st year wedding anniversary. Since I wanted to get married in Norway and it didn't come to fruition, maybe we'll travel to Norway. What I wanted to do was, place my own rune stone of our journey. Maybe it can just be a year late.
