I just read this morning they're having problems with China. The news said that China wants to take over Taiwan and is willing to do so by force. Meanwhile, Taiwan holds out hopes that the United States and other democracies will understand its plight and provide some assistance. I feel bad for them now.
Ireland is so lovely. I would go back any time. Montenegro looks spectacular as does Turkey. What is your ideal US travel itinerary?
My travel plans don't involve travel abroad. I don't really have plans at all. I still haven't been to Ibiza though. And Las Vegas isn't that far from California. It's still a 5 hour drive.
Where in Ireland have you been, if you don't mind saying? I would like to see Belfast, I think. Montenegro is terribly underrated and overlooked. Turkey is just amazing. I've seen a lot of the Aegean coast, and Istanbul. Would love to go to Istanbul again. And would love to see the Black Sea area (Rize and Trabzon). Go see those tea plantations and the green hills and mountains up in the clouds. My ideal US itinerary? Hmmm primarily I am interested in the northeast. Philadelphia, NYC...I think I'd like to see Boston too. I have this weird idea about Maine too, for I don't know what reason.
Ireland--Everywhere except Belfast, actually. I visited Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Galway, Limerick, Kilarney, Kilkenny and many other small country towns. I would recommend all of them but Limerick, honestly. Limerick was kinda icky, don't know why, but the vibe there was gloomy, but not in a good way. If you can visit the Ring of Kerry, you should. Spectacular. Hm, Philadelphia, eh? Interesting choice, lol. New York is something to see, obviously. Each neighborhood is it's own michrochosm--it's insane...you could spend weeks just exploring. I love Boston, but it's the type of city that some would consider abrasive. Maine is great, too. It's quiet, though, and very rural. It is worth visiting if you love the mountains, forest, small towns with quintessential New England white churches and buildings. And really really friendly folks.
What's the appeal of Philadelphia? I know the city has historic significance but its not high on my US cities list. Boston is definitely higher!
I worked in Belfast quite a few times Off the Falls road Nice people the Irish But to be honest I prefer Dublin's Vibe
Eloise, the northeast is nice but come on down to Florida or meet me in DC if you want to go on a proper date with ol deviate
Those different hoods and their atmospheres are the only thing drawing me to NYC lol But somehow I think it may be best experienced while actually living in one and you don't really get it when roaming there as a tourist (i hope otherwise of course )
Living somewhere is always a more immersive experience, but you can definitely get the experience by a longer visit. New York has amazing restaurants and street vendors on every corner! If you want great Caribbean food, go to the Caribbean neighborhood eatery, if you want killer Pho, visit the Vietnamese area, pricey hipster vegan food, visit Brooklyn. What draws you to Boston?
I cant wait to go to New York this year mainly for the food lol I really liked Boston but was only there for a day. I would like to go for a longer visit Maine is absolutely beautiful, one of my favorite states i've visited in the US
Ahhhh all this reminds me of various movies with green hills and whatnot. Beautiful scenery And then add a lil Belfast just to spice it up a lil. I want to see the muuuuurals in Belfast
I agree. Most people i know went only for a long weekend and then also visit at least 2 museums (which means one day of neighbourhood strolling is already gone). It should be at least a week! I'm not too interested in the north east US compared to other parts but i thought if I would pick only one city to get a jest of it so to say I would go with Boston (besides the typical in its own way big apple). It's an older city and heard mainly good things about it. I just wanna see how normal americans live Edit: i mean not too interested in visiting. Its actually just as interesting historically as the 'wild west'
And run up the steps Rocky runs up with Eye of the Tiger playing on a Bluetooth speaker They are in Philly, in front of some museum Dunt........dunt dunt dunt.......dunt dunt dunt.....da da da daaant
