Yes, this will be a fantastic chance to show the RECORD INDUSTRY that people don't just want to hear corporate rock.

We are doing this for a righteous cause -- peace, love, freedom, and bringing back music to the people.

I'm definitely going to be there. I'm already working on my van to make the drive. Nothing like driving in the country in a beat-up Astro van.

    Hey Lovin,

Some of the bands are remix's, bands that were know, losing a band member or two, copy rights prohibit the use of the old band name and the form new bands with new names. Some of the bands are local band from all over the country.

Even Dylan started somewhere. I will tell you this, they have to be dang good to quailfy to play Goodstock. I'm not saying the ones that werent picked arent good, we are just full now, no more bands will be added unless they are super great and we have to have them. I mean if Dylan or John Fogerty wanted to play we'd have to bump someone to make room.

There are still a couple of bands we havent listed yet, but will be up on the board soon..

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all...wow.. It's gonna be a blast.

    bright blessings
    sh

You know, it's just not bringing back the music to us but it also stops the gap between the bands and the fans.. To illustrate: My family and I went to a Willy Nelson and David Allen Coe concert at the Oil Palace last year.. We paid 55$ for our tickets and was on the 24th row. I went up to the edge of the gate they had around the stage and waited quietly for Willy to come out so I could get a few pix, I could only see the back of heads where I was sitting..

There were guards all around the stage keeping people away. They ran me off 12 times bc I would not show my tits to them so I have to move so the young chicks could get up there and show theirs for guitar picks.. I was holding out for an autographed pic ;).. The band came out and tuned up and I edged my way back up to the stage dodging the bouncers. Well here came Willy, he was surrounded by bodyguards so big you couldn't even see little Willy at all, just a braid flying.. he played his set and the BG again incircled him and whooshed him off the stage with menesing glares at the fans trying to get a glimps of him... WTF.. no autographs no nothing just whoosh and he was gone. T-shirts 50$..

Being from the old school, I was use to mingling with the bands even partying with them. I felt ripped off, I felt alienated from the music. Unappericieated for my support over 40 years ( well 50 for Willy bc I've watched Willy grow since I was 5 yrs old ) Willy being the orginal outlaw band..

Anyway my point is, Goodstock will reuninte the people and the bands once again, keeping us all intouch with eachother and the music that brings us all together as One People.. when did music become corporate and why have we let it go on for so long. It's our own fault, we have let it go one for decades. It's time right fucking now to get up and stop procrastinating and actually do something about it with out having to say anything, just show up. If you really can't make it and can, Donate to GS, you can sacrifce a few trips to Starbucks and help a brother/sister out!! This is for you.

Goodstock can only be if you support her right now.. otherwise the Machine will once again prevail over the people and we can all line up to be sheared.

I leave it to you good brothers and sisters, this is improtant to you as well as me. Let's throw a big wrench into the wheels of the Machine and stop the flow of corruption that is taking over our music and liberate it and set it free to bring joy and the message we need to hear. I'm pleading with you, please support Goodstock.

Many of you have come to me over the last couple of years and asked me for help or advise or an alternative healing method and I have given you my all, asking for nothing in return, not one time, well maybe I did ask for love but that is free and we are suppose to share it...But I'm asking now. Buy a ticket to Goodstock and show the love

    S.H.,

My wife (and main band promoter) has been emailing and messenging people from the West Virginia area as well as those in surrounding areas. We will be putting up and handing out flyers around Georgia and Tennessee as well.

We have had good response thus far. She is working her ass off. I can't wait.

Sorry, not gonna let this thread die.

Any members of Hip Forums that will go or will at least support the promotion of Goodstock, please tell all your friends and family that will care about it.

Go to www.goodstock2007.com and print out the Flyers and Posters. Hand them out, put them up.

I think we should try to get flyers placed in several newspapers. I would be willing to contribute financially to this as well.

I'll be handing out flyers at the protest I'm going to tomorrow. Plus, I'm going to go to all of the record shops and head shops around Knoxville and put up flyers. By this time tomorrow, a lot of people in Knoxville and the surrounding area will know the word "Goodstock".

I just wish you could get Crosby, Stills and Nash. Or Neil Young. Doubt they would do it though, since they're constantly touring.

Almost forgot. I've started a Myspace group for Goodstock.

    http://groups.myspace.com/goodstock2007

With the help of fellow members on this board that have a myspace account, I think we can spread the word a lot faster.

I did ask CSNY but have not heard anything back yet.. hey just so you'll know, I have contacted 117 bands to play Goodstock. Some said yeppers some said noppers and some didn't say.

I think the Light Show will be great too Robert has been putting a lot of energy into it and it's gonna be wild.. I remember the old light shows from the Filmore and Avalon Ballroom, What a trip.. if you want to see a real live light show e got it at Goodstock.
