I'm back in school and I need some recommendations for some good music to throw on when I'm studying. If I sit in silence, every little noise my wife or rabbit make end up distracting me but I find that most music distracts me too. I'm trying to find something that is interesting to listen to, but light on vocals. Hearing words while reading or trying to write can really fuck me up. I find stuff like Pink Floyd does the trick, but I'm kind of sick of it right now.
I have to be careful listening to Ennio because it raises my heartbeat and if im driving it always gets me speeding
Do you think it is from the emotion in his music? I could see that as if I am pensive it is not music I listen to as it will trigger emotion in me.
I agree with you but I can also see what BBAD is saying as his music depending where you are can be really intense. Part of what makes him brilliant. I know the mission is something that I only listen to when I am grounded as if I was out of sorts it would have me in tears in minutes. His music does tend to evoke emotion.

I find The Doors fantastic to study to. Or Beethoven or Mozart. Tchaikovsky distracts me because I freak out to how brilliant he is.
I can't write or study with music playing. Unless I am studying life, then I like all sorts of music. Preferably any kind of music written in Lydian scale.
