Yes, but thats why I said I think men should be allowed to give advice to lesbians as well provided its not in a leering, and sexually suggestive way. Its different, because you dont have girls posting in the gay section leering at the gay men, and saying stuff like "gay guys are so hot!" Girls do try and offer advice to the gay men here, and I do it myself. But it's almost always thoughtful, caring, and constructive advice. As for the homophobia in the gay forums, that is terrible, but those types of posts are usually removed. It is sad to see it, and it shouldnt be tolerated. And thankfully for the most part, it is not.

They do have to tolerate it, but they shouldnt have to. Its like the homophobia thing in the gay forums. Yes, I have seen some homophobic remarks made in them, but they are almost always removed. In fact, the rules of that sub-forum states that homophobic attitudes will not be tolerated. So its not as if the gay forum openly invites homophobes to post in them, some just do, and you cant stop it. But you can stamp down on it whenever it arises. Ive already said it is a bit of a double standard, but I can definitely understand why that rule in the lesbian forums is there.

Well, I'm not a lesbian or even a woman, but here's my take...

All porn for lesbians is lesbian porn. Not all lesbian porn is porn made for a female audience. Lesbian porn is porn that involves sex acts between women.

Much of (Most?) of the lesbian porn depicts male fantasies of lesbianism which are far from the reality. Male-centric girl on girl porn tends to focus on penetration, dildos, and acts that simulate male involvement. Also, the actors themselves in male-centric lesbian porn fit the mold of females from male fantasies.

Porn for lesbians involves more female fantasies, has a broader range of actors, and often totally omits the idea that penetration is necesary for female satisfaction.

I think another main difference is, that "lesbian" porn made for men usually features straight women putting on a performance of being lesbian/bisexual to titilate male fantasies. I am no expert on porn, as I dont watch it, and Im no expert in lust either as Ive never really experienced that physical feeling. Purely through observation though, I think there are some differences in the way men and women view lust/love. You are right though in saying that women focussing on love, and men, lust is a large generalisation. I think there generally is a difference, though its probably not as pronounced, or as radically different as some think.

I do think that generally, men are much more visual, when it comes to lust and sexual feelings. Whereas its more complex for women when it comes down to those things. Again, a generalisation maybe, but I still think that difference is there to an extent.
