My office is hosting an open adoption day today and the place has been crawling with kittens. No one has gotten anything done all day. On top of that, there was a potluck. Free kittens and food! Best day ever!

well none of my friends got killed in south central LA, so I suppose it was a good day.

That said, that is usually the case.

 

the sun is finally out so i finally got around to cleaning my car seats

also washed all the outside

also sold a lawnmower and it was one of the lousier old ones that i thought id be stuck with

so all-in-all i guess its a good day so far

 

It was alright. I made a new friend and the day is beautiful. Other than that, it's been another slow day.

 

I'm sleepy and I have a coffee.

 

Played some guitar earlier which is always good and even made some mouth utterances to go along with it at some points that vaguely resembled "singing", to play songs.

Learning how to make a simple side scroller game with computer code this afternoon and tonight I will either read or play video games, possibly get a bit more guitar in. Good day!

 

One chainsaw died, one needs rebuilt and the third is too small... I need to get this firewood in and it's not happening.

Wow, it sounds like you had an AMAZING day. Mine was pretty good, my husband took me out for Japanese Fusion and it was delicious. There were no kittens at the restaurant though

Yes, in the summer, things get a little overrun. They try to do whatever they can to adopt out as many as they can. My company sponsored all adoptions so no one paid a penny to take animals home. I applied for a little black kitten named Jasmine. My existing kitty is getting fat and depressed spending all day home alone. She came from a sanctuary where she was in a big group of kitties. Yesterday I caught her nuzzling a mirror she's been sleeping in front of since I brought it home. Broke my heart. I thought cats were okay being mostly solitary, but she honestly seems really lonely... Time to fix that.

 

Just doing nothing today, took the day off from work since this week has seen a lot of milestones for me. I'm glad just to sit and stare into space, enjoy the last few days of summer, process all that has happened, and catch up on some cleaning and reading.

Here I sit, while all the shit I should be doing gets procrastinated.

Vacuum the house before the wife gets home from the beach...
Get a new chain for the chainsaw....
Clean out the car before taking it to the shop to get fixed....
Go to Lows and get paint stripper for the deck....
Practice music for next weeks open mic.....
Trim the hedges....
Mow the lawn....

God I'm glad I don't have a job.....

 

Just got the news that I was approved to adopt the kitten I was looking at. Ivy gets a little sister named Jasmine as of tomorrow. :sunny:

 

i like to think, each day, has the potential, for being one.

Slept late.

Made a cat tree for the indoor cats. I used a rickety old wooden step ladder as the base. They love it.

Got laundry and grocery shopping done.

I walked my dog in the cool night air which feels amazing.
