i know this is a bit mainstream (i guess?) and not necessarily dance or trance, but what do you people think of...

    Radiohead?

TBS are not so trance orientated electronica, they have a pretty asian London sound and feature the legendary Talvin Singh...

Bassnectar is more glitch hop kinda stuff..

Badmarsh and Shri take influence from trip hop, downtempo, drum and bass and again features quite heavy asian elements and a very London style sound.

Wouldn't call any of those trance but it's all good shit though...

OP: It depends what you mean by trance music but some older stuff from the likes of Banco de Gaia might be up your street, Eat Static's downtempo stuff is good (as is their uptempo but that's more psychedelic trance focused).. Anything on Canadian label Interchill Records, quality downtempo electronic music of the highest order and their complilations are always interesting.

For straight up psychedelic trance with a more modern sound you could try british labels like Liquid Recs or Organic for the more daytime focused sound, Wildthings Recs for that 'sideways on acid at 9am in an abandoned warehouse in north London' vibe, Pharpsyde recs is underground UK style, Ketuh records is worth checking out. For more progressive groovy (dare I say it housier) stuff labels like Iboga, Digital Structures, Blue Tunes, Tribal Vision, Plastic Park etc is what you want. Darker night time style labels like Triplag, Doof, Nabi for mentalness. Old school labels like Twisted, Dragonfly, Koyote, Spiral Trax, TIP etc...

Check out some compliations and tell me what you like and I can recommend more... :cheers2:

Infected went rubbish quite a few albums ago and make shit pop music now.

Shamanic Tribes on Acid is one I haven't heard in a while, I used to live with an Australian chap who was mad into him. I believe the chap behind the SToA project, Jake something or other, died of cancer a couple of years ago. RIP..
