Me too. Rain and thunder forecast for this afternoon. Already been out for a nice dry walk this morning, will definitely go out for a wet one later.
A barefooter's heaven has surely got to be a rainy and muddy place! And I love that you can get your feet absolutely filthy stomping around in the muck, only to have them be squeaky clean after a few minutes of walking and jumping around in puddles of rainwater - It's like Mother Nature itself is inviting you to bare your toes and soles and let them splish and splash their way across the muddy wonderland! I can't wait for my next adventure!
I remember hiking a deliciously muddy trail in Nashville and meeting several hikers with boots on. They were strong hikers, but the mud was collecting on their boots and dragging them down. They laughed when they saw me happily splashing over the trail barefooted, and yelled to each other..... "now that's the way to do it!"
Only problem with walking barefoot after rain is the little pebbles and grit that stick to your soles. Can be quite annoying if I'm honest.
I love walking in the rain barefoot it feels great to have the cool rain on my bare feet. I have been going barefoot for so long that I really don’t feel the pebbles and grit on my bare feet. The bottoms of my bare feet are really tough I do miss feeling different textures on my bare feet.
Totally random I know, but driving home from work today, passing Rufford Park on the A614, the heavens had just opened and I saw 2 young women walking barefoot in the rain, carrying their sandals. I was a bit envious despite the fact they were soaked.
I was barefoot myself, I always take my shoes off in the locker room at work and drive home with bare feet, but it's not really that exciting tbh.
I had some friends though I was a little bit strange because I go everywhere barefoot. And some of my employees thought I was weird because I ever wear shoes or flip flops at work .
