Going to Antarctica

Lots of penguins in zoos. Might even be able to find one in your neighborhood.

You would find them as fossilized remains in places that were once covered in water. And then there are aquariums. I have seen whales many times on walks around my own environs.

You don't need land to grow marijuana. Hydroponic growing is applied to various substrates and you would have to build a controlled environment because of the inclination of the sun.
The life cycle of marijuana is light sensitive.
As far as governments accepting your project, your statesmanship is yet to be tested.

I like grand ideas though.

And the only people that can go like that are journalists or researchers, and if I'm going to go for one of those things, it will be for my OWN "mission". I'm not tagging along on someone else's.

 

It you think zoos have "lots" of penguins, you don't know what "lots" is.

 

How are you going to get funding for your "mission"? Who do you think will sign off on it?

anyway, yea, great. go to Antarctica. better him than me. I wanna go to Alaska sometime but that's about as cold as I can handle it. I hope he does know that when its neg 60 out.. you really can't BE outside. Researchers who go to Antarctica often go insane during the coldest-darkest times (yes, there have been movies made about this...and books written)...sounds like lots of fun to me.

 

Coldest I have ever been outside in was -48. With the wind factored in the feel was around -68. Needless to say, I wasn't outside that long.
