I won't be going there first, simply because of the distance and cost. So... Before I start heading to Antarctica, I think I want to hike a few mountains, while traveling across America in a car and at camp sites in a small trailer. Then I'll do the same thing in Mexico before heading to South America, then from South America I want to try to go to Antarctica. If I can't afford to go there at that point, I'll just go to the middle east or Africa, then go to Antarctica a few years later. Mountain peaks I want to get to in Colorado. Tanks Peak, Ute Peak, Pikes Peak, Castle Peak, Huntsman Mountain, Diamond Peak, Black Mountain, Zenobia Peak, Fishers Peak, Waugh Mountain, Crater Peak, Blair Mountain, South Bald Mountain, Horse Mountain... Plus: Telluride, The Cave Dwellings, The Whispering Caves, the multiple Dinosaur spots and the Garden of the Gods. America (USA): Navajo National Monument, Tuzigoot, Montezuma Castle, Canyon de Chelly, Hovenweep, Mesa Verde, Aztec Ruins National Monument, Chaco Canyons, Petroglyph national monument. Places I want to go in Mexico: Tulum, Palenque, Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Ek Balam, Becan, Bonampak, Calakmul, Chaccoben, Chac Mool, Chicanna, Coba, Dzibilchaltun, Kohunlich, Dzibanche, Oxtankah, Mayapan, Muyil, Xel-ha, Yaxchilan, Balam Acapulco, Guanajuato, Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido, Veracruz, Mexico City, Cancun, Cozumel, Los Cabos, Nogales, Hermosillo, Kino Bay, Puerto Vallarta. Continued list, for Belize/Guatamala/El Salvador/Honduras/Costa Rica now: Caracol, Cerros, Lamanai, Tikal, Copan, Quirigua, Aguateca, Tazumal, El Puente, Guayabo. Colombia: El Abra, San Agustin, Ciudad Perdida, Tierradentro. From there I would like to see the Amazon, then Ruins in Peru. Chile, and if I can afford it, Antarctica. If I can't afford it, Africa then Antarctica when I can afford it. But Africa after Antarctica if I can afford Antarctica. I'll be coming back to America, Mexico and Canada to visit all the time though.

Go for it :2thumbsup: http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/NZSP.html Current Conditions :freezing: Temp -75 F Wind Chill -110 F Hotwater
My dumb luck cousin joined the navy/army to see the world. He was detailed to McMurdo sound as a cook.
Mcmurdo is the antartic equivalent of the tropics (for steers & queers, only) Current conditions: -10 F http://www.worldincams.com/img/webcams/antarctica/antarctica-scott-base-mcmurdo-station-current.jpg Hotwater
He came back with that piercing look. I wonder if shaggyfins thinks he is a penguin? Certainly penguin country. Anyway there is no such thing as antarctic equivalent to the tropics. That's why they call it antarctic and the tropics the tropics.
Microbial organisms don’t really interest me, but there are some conspiracy theorists who believe the movie The Thing was based on a real event Hotwater
To be fair weathered over all about the antarctic/tropic thing, the temperate zones of the earth extend below the crust and into the stratosphere so there are hot spots from within popping up in frigid ambient temperature zones and cold descending from above in tropic regions according to altitude.
Why are you being a dick about it, the only reason you brought up micro organisms was to say that you didn't even care about them.
