After COVID delayed this trip last year, next week I'm going down to Haulover Beach for a week starting this Sunday. I'm very excited. Once I get down there I'll probably realize this is something I should have done a long time ago. I've got in contact with one of the beach ambassadors down there who has given me some tips. The driving is probably going to be the hardest thing to do since I'm going to try and drive the entire 800+ miles in one day.
Been there and you're going to love it. There are also three other nude beaches on I-95 if you're traveling down that way. Apollo in New Smyrna, Playalinda in Titusville and Blind Creek in Port St Lucie area
Some day I need to go to Florida. Everyone I know has been to some part of the state. I would enjoy going to Haulover Beach. I hope you have a good time.
Oh yeah, you're really going to love it and wonder why you haven't done it before. And you won't want to put your clothes back on at the end of the day when it's time to leave. I've been to Apollo Beach in New Smyrna and really liked it. Haven't been to Haulover yet but it's on my list.
After about 5 minutes of being naked on a beach with many other nude people, you will forget you are not wearing anything & just feel one of the (naked) crowd. You never forget your 1st time..... Enjoy!
Well day one is done. I thought it might be a good idea to go sort of early and I got there about 10:30am. Glad I did that especially on a Sunday because when I left around 3pm the parking lot was completely full. It's been quite a long time since I've been to any beach and I forgot how hard it is to walk in sand. My calves are going to be hurting tonight. It was very windy today so the waves were very active. I did go swimming in the ocean a couple of times and caught a wave right smack in the face once. Yuck seawater!! It was a great day with lots and lots of naked people. I'm used to maybe 30 or 40 at our club on Sundays but this was many times that by the afternoon.
Yeah this is going to be an annual trip for as long as I can afford it. But I've learned a lot of lessons along the way. Don't stay close to the beach, at least for me. The one bad thing about staying in a smaller hotel is that they have about 8 or 9 parking spaces for two whole floors of guests. I was told I could park out back if all of those spaces were full and given a placard to hang from my mirror. This morning I came down to find a parking officer was giving me a ticket. Took it and went back to the front desk and they are going to reimburse me for it but now if there are no spaces on the side I'm going to have to pay to park out back. So in the future I will stay further inland at hotels that have dedicated parking lots for their guests. Second, rent a umbrella on the beach. First two days I didn't and even though the wind was high it was still hot. Today rented an umbrella and it made a ton of difference.
Oh I brought plenty of sunscreen. But the one area I forgot about was the tops of my feet and they got a little cooked the first day. I had to go buy a more powerful spray on sunscreen to use on them along with a burn spray to use at night. They haven't hurt any so I guess I caught it in time.
Another lesson learned today. Find something else to body groom with and stop using a razor on my chest if I'm going out of town. I'm missing a beach day today because I nicked my chest this morning and it started pouring blood. Since I left home and didn't pack any neosporin I had to get it to stop long enough for me to run to Walmart to pick some up. So right now instead of being naked on a beach right now, I'm sitting with a band-aid across my chest. Hopefully it will be healed enough tomorrow to go since being Friday the beach should be packed and there's a good chance of rain Saturday. But I think going in the water anymore is out of the question until the cut completely heals.
Well unfortunately this trip is going to have to end a day early. My feet are in just too bad of a shape to continue. Whatever it was that I stepped on in the ocean on Sunday, caused a dime sized blister that busted this morning at the hotel. About 4 hours on the beach and my feet were killing me. I looked at my toe and it was almost black in that area so I figured I had better get back to the hotel room and take care of it. Got back to the room and luckily I had brought some cuticle scissors with me so I was able to cut away the layer of skin over the blister and dug out about half a pound of sand or so it felt like. The blister on my left toe hasn't busted yet but I went ahead and cut that skin off too and treated it. My right foot was the one that stepped on something Sunday but I never felt anything on my left foot. I almost think I made it worse trying to wear flip flops on the beach for all of those days. It seems I try to make my foot into a fist to try and hold them on and I think that is what caused the blisters because I wore my sandals today and it was much better. So I'm sitting here in the hotel room with two heavily bandaged big toes ready to head back home tomorrow. But even with all the pain and everything bad that has happened, I've really had a blast and I'm so glad I came. Already looking at making the trip again next year. But with a lot of changes and hopefully with better conditioned feet.
We loved going to a nude beach the first time. It was so exciting for the both of us to be seen naked by others and to see so many naked bodies. Quire exciting actually
I was just at Apollo this past Friday and it was great. Felt great being nude, a very liberating and freeing experience. Really had no inhibitions of taking my clothes off and be nude in front of anyone. I like being nude as much as possible when I’m home and try to find places to be nude outdoors. At Apollo it’s legal so you don’t have to worry about being caught. I actually enjoyed the thought of people looking at me and I caught a younger woman taking a long glance at me…. Oh she had a nice body too. It was my last full day at New Smyrna…. Wish it would have been my first day because I would have gone there everyday. New Smyrna Beach is my favorite place to go to so I’m hoping to get back soon to enjoy some more nude beach days
I actually did feel that way…. I didn’t want to put my clothes back on to leave. Honestly I did go to my car a couple times to leave only to go back to the band take off my shorts… that’s all I was wearing when I got there…. It is really a very freeing and liberating experience…. Really don’t want to wear clothes anymore. It was Apollo at New Smyrna too…. I love that place
How big is the beach, long etc.? Is it sectioned off from the clothed beach? Instead of going to Lake Como in September I might try to either go to Apollo or Playalinda or even back to Haulover. I think Lake Como vs. a week's hotel stay at the beach is about even financially.
It’s about a mile south from the last clothed beach area and goes pretty far south from its parking lot.
There’s plenty of space on the beach that you’re not on top of other people….. you can get far enough away from others that you can do whatever you want
