Yeah girls have it easy they can flirt with lonely guys and get a $100 tip at the end of the night. You should bartend at Hooters!
meant to say extroverted in my last post, not introverted I've noticed bartenders are actually aloof but able to engage with the customer when needed, I can do that..and that's one on one, which is what I like I've always had good experiences with bartenders, they're pleasant and cool ha ha, $100 tip would be saaaweet
so I came up with three different replies to this... and didn't know which would be best to post a) I think I've been on here too long and I'm starting to *hear* other members thoughts b) I thought you were already in cali?? c) I like you alright but, idk, sometimes I just have the urge to kick your ass/slap you across the face so are you listening to some gangsta rap or something?
haha. i just saw the title 'going back' and it made me think of that song. i havent listened to it in a long time though. dont kick my ass
..but if you and I ever decide to get into a fight, I say, we should dress as Luchadors. I have no idea where I'm going with this. I'm gonna take a nap.
If it is what you think you would like to do, go for it. Who knows it could be a really great change for you.
how much is this going to cost you? I don't want to discourage you if you have tremendous enthusiasm for this, but it sounds like a giant waste of time and money. maybe see if a bar will let you bar tend for free or something. that way you don't lose any money, and get a better sense of whether or not this a job that you want to do.
Come hang out with me for a week. You'll be a certified bartender lol. I had no idea people even went to school for that. I live on the coast in FL where bartenders make $500/night easily. And none of them went to school for it, in fact, most of them are in school for something else as they do it. Not to discourage you, I'm just keeping it real. Save your money. You'd be better off going to culinary school. At least that's a real skill.
:2thumbsup: also, I'm not sure that bartending is a good match for you. you seem kinda sensitive, and I don't think that bartending is a good match for that. maybe ask lodog, or some other folks that have done bartending
Culinary school?? Why would I do that? I hate cooking. You don't go to bartending school for years or anything. It's a 100 hour course. I titled this thread "Going back to school" just to be silly. I want to take the courses mainly just for fun and hopefully it can help me in getting a bartending job. If it doesn't, oh well.
As for the cost, it's $400. I am going to be doing a payment plan of $200 upfront then pay the other $200 later.
