Dude the swastika is cool. It's Indian like from India. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
Only the jewish controlled media wants to abolish the swastika just because hitler stole it for awhile. Gay people use the rainbow but does that mean everyone using the rainbow is gay? Come on people don't buy into the owned media!

You can use the swastika for peace! Even the word swastika is indian not german.

Not only is there no one to do any forgiving, there is nothing to be forgiven.

If you are god, then so was hitler and every holy soldier of the third reich. This may cause an immediate gut reaction of disgust, but understand that the multiplicity of manifestation has a spectrum that goes as far down one end ("god") as it does down the other end.

or in terms more aligned with your cultural paradigm, "god works in mysterious ways" :) :cheers2:

And dude, just from an every day kinda level, people do stupid shit. It's ok. You're not a monster. Everybody did and thought retarded shit when they were young. Hell, most people do and think retarded shit right up until their moment of death. Don't feel you owe someone or something some kind of apology. You cannot apologize for who you are, what you are, and what role this universe has cast you in. Besides, the odds that you will "make up" for those past "mistakes" is very high. For all you know, you will be an important part of something truly wonderful on a large scale, soon.

Keep your head up and think about what you are doing now, not what some past version of you, armed not with your present knowledge, did. And imagine what you will do tomorrow . . . :)

I think a problem with trying to define God or the way God works is many people use God as a homonym. So many different interpretations or views that really appear as completely different objects and conflict in many instances. Everything from an invisible man in the sky to a unseen infinitely powerful source.

I first off believe there are other entities or lifeforms more powerful/intelligent than us that we can't perceive so I dare not even assume the existence of a solo entity that supposedly runs the entire universe. I think it is far stranger than we can imagine, and I don't believe any religion, use of psychedelics or ritual practice necessarily gets us any closer. We have not even made it to another planet let alone out of our solar system.

Religion i think gives us morality, faith and perhaps direction in life.
Psychedelics may help one confront personal issues and may show something about the interaction between lower 'animal' levels of functioning in the human brain and the higher levels of cognitive functioning.

Both of these paradigms I think suggest something more about our mortality and needs rather than something about a infinite, permanent deity.

Most religion is caught up in having a communal experience of celebrating life.
Psychedelics can share this same experience and on an even more personal level can show one something about the state of their existence.

So can the devil be god too? Or does there have to be a bad guy for the good guy to exist?

Ahhhhh....these...words, are so insufficient. Does God imply organized religion? Cause..it feels really disrespectful to define spirituality. It's funny how so many people with expanded perspectives can so easily narrow their view to confidently say the state of extradimensional sentience, or lack of. Duality, singularity, atheistic, monotheistic, polytheistic. In my opinion, these words are as insufficient to describe spirituality as words like trippy, psychedelic, and beautiful are to describe tripping.

At least with hallucinogens, you have something physical to anchor your (inadequate) descriptions to. With spirituality, there is either nothing, or everything, depending on your perspective. And what have you ever gained from confining what you love to mere grunting?

I agree, I just lean towards atheism because I don't really care for ambivalence.

to quote bill maher, i preach the gospel of "I DONT KNOW!"

obviously there's nothing wrong with speculating, but claiming you know the answer is rediculous beyond belief. not that any of you are doing that in this thread, but a lot of very intellegent people tend to even go down that path.

God doesn't have to be known through belief. You can experience god, you can know of god through meditation.

I think Bill Hicks said it best, "All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing is death, life is only a dream, and we are the imaginations of ourselves."

This sentence explains the whole secret of existence.

sounds plausible...but where did matter come from and how does it vibrate?

Matter accumulates by virtue of intent and vibrates accordingly in response to that tension.
This intent is intelligent and matter is cultivated according to an aesthetic sense. Nature is tastefully arranged.
By intelligent intent I do not mean the subjective reflections of the human psyche. I mean something more recognizable as substance akin to gravity.
