the buddha was not a god, he was a man that taught how to end suffering for oneself. he never even knew about monotheism in his time (500 years before the followers of jesus)

Buddha experienced the ultimate reality. That's what other religions call god. What I like to call absolute oneness. Its all the same. A god by any other name still smells as sweet.

I don't think shit can think, but possibly it is aware.

Because i was thinking beforehand...I was given the opportunity to have a human body and experience the human experience in a sense of the realizations i could have and a bunch of other shit...Like how was i born into a well kept family, in a sense of food always on the table, a nice televison, games and other wonderful shit but then there is hell happening in Africa and other parts of the world.....Iam looking for a answer and the only reason i stated the fact that iam God like is becasuse it made sense to me at the time...Like for instance iam given the opportunity to God whatever is in front of me, i could go around destroying televisons or sit in my peace and thats why i believe in that Voodoo Shit Lol....Also iam just Greatful as shit Lol

This is why i was thinking about monking...Is this a good idea or should i go out and get laid?Because lately everything i do is like some kind of spiritual apaloza. Lol

I think those people who claim they are God suffer from some serious meglomania or delusions. I am pretty much atheist, but one claiming themselves God or saying we are collectively God would be the equivalent of calling a cell(s) in your body a human. ( I believe that analogy is even a bit generous if some sort of entity exists)

That is only true if you define "god" as the collective whole of the universe, then your cell/human analogy works.

I have never heard god being defined as the collective whole of the universe [and only the collective whole of the universe].

No it's true otherwise, I assume that both you and I would consider a human something unique and separate outside of the collection of cells and other parts that make it up. I think a lot of people view God in a similar light that he is the universe plus something separate that's unique to 'him'.

One post in here said they were God and another said something along the lines of humans make up god: our fears, desires, etc. and that's where i was using the cell as a 'human' analogy.

I agree with the cell thing, but try to imagine God as H2O. We can drink water, liquid. We have ice which in that state is solid. We have steam or vapor which is in the air. All three are H2O no doubt. But all three have qualities that are different from each other. Now take the Christian God. father, Son and Holy Spirit. Same God different forms. Now apply that principle to a collective awareness some choose to call God. can there be multiple forms of the same God? I say most likely.

Shit i should have put the lightbulb icon to the side of my title..Lol sorry.....Like i said before though i believe each person is some sort of God, Each person creates a set of laws or guidelines of how to live life making them Gods of life...Goddesses and Gods....Ive been understanding religon lately and i think thats all that has to be done, is a understanding but the beauty of it is nobody will ever know until the hoopla of this thing happens...

The God as water idea is a nice idea but that doesnt answer the basically hells of this world like Africa and all them other parts, or third world countries why people are born into them as some type of almost punishment instead of the life others are give and yet are still ungreatful...Ive been realizing this and i sometimes think Holy Shit iam lucky Lol

you are certainly not god, or even godly. i wish i could have proof god exists, i find myself constantly questioning his presence. i planned on enlightening myself on this topic through the use of shrooms, but it was my first time and i could not steer my trip in any direction what so ever, hopefully in those to come i may do so

You'll find that the trips you learn most from are the ones where the thought of anything steering anything for any purpose is intensely funny :)

don't talk about steering trips please, it makes liquids that are meant to go down my throat come out of my nose :D

let go and be taken. you are not in control, you do not know what you're doing, and you are the problem. "You" are the block to you knowing this.

Consider this. Maybe God doesn't want some one like some scientist figuring out that god exists or through any other means than just "faith". :D

He left clues some feel in nature.

And you notice how the lsd forum seems to discuss "god" more than the other substance forums?

    Could it be...?

See god is very illusive. He doesn't want to ruin the experiment. If a scientist is in a lab and he keeps poking at the petri dish, that is going to effect the results. We need to have free will so we can learn and grow on our own. Plus if god is experiencing itself, he doesn't want to give the secret away, that would ruin the game, then there is no one to play with.
