There are many truths found in the Bible. But the Bible has been re-written and altered many times over the years to fit political agendas. Keep in mind the Bible was written by man -- not by creation.

I will say that the story of Jesus is one of a person who was crucified for going against the system. He was a rebel.

They have always given us both the good and the evil veiled in allegory.

 

The bible is inspired of God. Yes it has been translated many times over, and incorrectly, ever done any research on the Dead Sea scrolls? Amazingly accurate to what we have today.
and yes Jesus, the sacrificial lamb which was given up on our behalf. The ransom sacrifice is the most important thing in the bible. That is Gods gift to redeem mankind from sin and death that has been inherited from the first humans.

 

Christianity as most people practice it is just a way for the Catholic church to control people. Even Protestants kept most of the lies unknowingly even though they consider themselves to have a more genuine view of god. This is why fundamentally between the two schools of thought the church is always required to mediate the relationship between god and yourself. The extreme end of this is the Pope claiming to have some sort of direct line with god even though no one will dispute he is a man elected by other men. If god is everywhere why do I have to go to a special place each week? And why is this god is insecure that I need to remind them weekly that they are important? This view of god sounds more like an insecure girlfriend then a wise being to me.

Because you are from god you are god. Jesus if he even existed had to me of a Buddha type figure. He does not have magic powers you do not have, you can become what he was. This was actuly the message of Christianity for several centuries until the Catholic church decided that was not the case. At that time the added many things to the bible and took away even more that did not fit their agenda. The idea that you need them to be close to god is the root of the control. But they tell you to think like this is evil. It does not have to be.

No, the bible was written by priesthoods which pretend to be intermediaries between creation and humans in order to control them. They are hijackers. People don't need religion to be in touch with creation, they need only know themselves since the bible itself said the kingdom of God is within us all. Atheists and religionists both have it wrong.

 

Jehovahs name appears over 6000 times in the bible but it has been translated to God or Lord. He has a personal unique name.

The greatest trick the devil plays is convincing you he does not exist. What better way then to present himself as the exact opposite? Why the difference between the attitude of Jesus and the old testament god who commands people to kill and kills himself?

No, I would not. If God created us all, then why would he need to communicate his message through a select few men who are supposedly superior to the rest of us since we were all created in his image? He wouldn't. We would be able to communicate with "him" directly since "he" is within us all.

But I do not believe in GOD, but rather the process known as creation which gave birth to the universe and everything within it. The personification of creation is a product of religion. Religion has been a tool of control down through the ages. The minute you subscribe to any man-made religion is the minute you lose all contact with the oneness which is creation. Religion is a tool of divide and conquer and nothing more. You will find the same basic truths in ALL of the religions, since they were all given to us by the same people.

 

Why are there religions that predate Christianity by a long time? Your god just took his time and for thousands of years just was cruel enough to not let anyone know he was there and then punished all those people. It makes no sense.

But you agree he didn't write a book. Some guys that you say he wrote through did but it is clearly a very debatable subject. Someone so all powerful and wise would have seen that coming and done something that really got everyone's attention. Burning it in the sky permanently for all to see would have been much more convincing. Clearly god either isn't real (at least not the way you think he is) or he is an idiot.
