Christianity has become very large. But why? Every Hindu, Buddhist or Jew who has read the new Testament has become a Christian (I'm really not sure if Muslims are Humans or rather Aliens). It's easy to recognize that Jesus of course was also sent by God. Not everyone can be born in the right religion, thus it's important to look beyond the horizon. When Jesus has spoken up to 10.000 people have come to this place to hear what he says, among others he has announced us the eternal life. Every believer who has really read the 4 Testaments knows sooner or later that Jesus was really sent by God. Trust me I know what I'm talking about. Many Greetings

Well derrrh I'm pretty sure most people knew that when they were about 5.
God placed a lil baby Jesus in Mary.
Like, how obvious is it? How hasn't everyone heard that before. Why the hell are you only learning this now. This is in bibles for children.

    My god.

    Those words seem somehow familiar.:bobby:

I don't really know what you mean when you say every Hindu, Buddhist or Jew who has read the NT has become a Christian. If that were so, you'd expect a continuous exodus from those religions to Christianity. Many may have read it and seen something familiar from their own religion reflected in it, but clearly not all of them convert. Probably only a small proportion.
In the case of Buddhists, it's highly unlikely they would see Jesus as sent from God, as they don't believe in a God.

I don't much care for Islam, but I can assure you Muslims are as human as anyone else.

They do have that kind of aura about them.

When I said Muslims are human, I should have added perhaps 'all too human'.

Christianity is a cult, and to worship only one of God's Avatars as the true voice of God is like idolatry in my eyes. It's worshiping the finger and not the moon that's being pointed to.

Post 1= Your assumptions may or may not be true. The basic premise you postulate must be accepted in order to participate. Therefore----no.

What is god really? The Universe created us. The Universe is our god. And we are the Universe. I think we're all gods in making. We all need to go through every experience (now, I don't know if we only experience every human life, or every animal+plant+human life, or every form of life that exists in the entire Universe) before we can be fully enlightened and developed enough so our consciousness can move to the next level or dimension, but the Christians that believe in some random guy that's watching them from the sky, sending people to an imaginary hell or heaven, are just blinded by their own beliefs and not lived enough lives to believe in their own energy, and their own potential.

I sometimes look at the powers of fate as God. I haven't seen very highly into the spirit world. Seen things but never a humanoid calling himself God. It seems to be that people want a powerful being to rely on, thus created God. They have been told that God exists and to trust his son Jesus. Not really sure what Jesus tripped like, if he's real he never shared his journey with me. But I do get sick of people that pretend to know so called divine wisdom cause someone told them what to believe. People usually lack a mystical quest. I'm open to God being relevant but mostly for aurgument.

the biggest problem i have with religion is the philosophical implications that cannot be reconciled, as well as scientific implications of certain parts of scripture when taken literally. we do not come into this world with knowledge, all knowlege is gained through this world, from our environment. so if your parents tell you that the universe is 6000 years old, you will believe it until you have been enlightened and learn more. after learning so much, it becomes impossible to reconcile with certain religious beliefs and would only work if the scriptures were meant to be deeply metaphorical (and also extremely ambiguous). i know too much, it is not a coincidence that you don't hear highly educated scientists claiming they really believe the universe is 6000 years old still.

when i look at the world and nature, i see a violent dog eat dog world. far from perfect. many aspects are of course absolutely amazing, but still full of pain and suffering and far from what i would consider a perfect creation.

one thing that always trips me out is when is that all creatures have teeth, including humans of course. i think, that's so weird to have teeth, some creatures have very sharp teeth made for killing. in a perfect world there would be no need to harm another to survive, and no need for teeth.

let me be an example for you then, i have read the 4 testaments and i do not believe that jesus was sent by god. i dont even believe in a god described by the christian bible. i think its offensive that you dont think muslims are humans, and the fact that you think there is one "right" religions reflects your narrow mindedness. the fact is, christianity is not special, it claims what every other religion claims. why you chose to post such garbage in the Hinduism forum is beyond me.

one of the reasons that i enjoy hinduism philosophy is that in the bhagavad gita, this is actually how they describe krishna, he is the sum of all matter and energies in the universe. they had a great idea from the start.

well since this is in the hinduism section, according to hindu philosophy, god doesn't let you die. you perceive your consciousness leaving your body as death, but you are just changing bodies.

if any god created you it was the goddess
    god cannot give birth stupid
    but no god created you,
    that is why you die

if there were a god you would not die
all people's gods are mere imagination
no god has ever been proven

What do we mean when we say 'you' die or 'you' don't die. What or who is this 'you'?

In the Bhagavad Gita (this is the Hinduism forum recall) Krishna says 'for the soul there is never birth or death'. So according to that view, the soul is a.) not in the body, b.) not the personality or the mind that have developed during the course of this lifetime.

The idea is that due to a false identification we think we are these limited individual beings, when our deepest and truest identity is one with Brahman or God. 'You are not the body' is a common thing that is said by some devotees. They could go further and say you are not the life energy or mind. The general idea is that the true consciousness has to be uncovered through various practices of yoga.
