Sometimes people need to be spoken to in this way for them to learn the truth. I will go *@# the offending characters out, for your sake.

Pursuing physical pleasure can cause spiritual pain. I know this.

    Well, you lie poorly.
God caused your "evil" desire. God is the only one who tempts you, God causes all things. Why do you lie about God? Because God created you too. Does this make you bad? No. But you probably would say that lying is evil, because you are a liar.

Christians are of God; everyone else is wicked. 1 John 5:19

Don't associate with non-Christians. Don't receive them into your house or even exchange greeting with them. 2 John 10

Everyone will have to worship Jesus - whether they want to or not. Philippians 2:10

Well, I say homosexuality is okay, has no negative effect on me whatsoever, and it is normal.
Any laws that discriminate against them, such as not allowing them to receive marriage benefits, etc. is wrong in my view.

If God and Jesus disagree, so be it.

I think someone needs to add a disclaimer to the bible: Don't believe everything you see and hear, because God is the biggest bullshitter around.

Yeah. I think poopsex is funny. Ewwwhh though. Don't want a stinky winky.

Well, I don't take laws seriously anyway. I follow them when I feel like it. I think laws are pretty silly in the whole scheme of things. Like, in my hometown, there is a no open container law. One time, I was completely wasted, wandering around town with an open container during arts fest (local thing they do) when they have tons of extra cops to crack down on everything. I walked up to 2 cops in an alley and started talking to them. The younger cop looked at me and said "You know you have an open container, don't you?" and I said "ohh yeah. this beer" and changed the subject. They wandered off after telling me to be careful (just like my parents, girlfriend, and just about everyone tells me to do before I go out to get wasted). Another of my friends got a citation for being annoying. Which is really funny, if you think about it. (He wasn't with me, he wandered off into town. I stayed in a 2 block radius, there were about 7 parties all in this one area).

    Wierd. plain old wierd....

you are highlighting negativity,it sounds as though you a speaking with anger.
it sounds liek you are contradicting yourself

I just wanted to point out that Christianity is not all love and peace. Discrimination and shunning people cuz they have a different faith is not very loving in my opinion.

I am not angry. But I could very well have contradicted myself......I've done that before.
    I ask this,
Would the Dalai Lama be turned away at the gates of heaven?

Hey, you need to take the good with the bad... If you're going to hold the bible up as the answer to everything, you can't pick and choose bits you like and don't like...

Even the pope would if he wouldn't have faith in Christ.

    i dotn pick adn choose!
that is one thing i will never be guilty of,
what i am saying is that the wordnig of the verses were not corect, sometimes people only read one verse and not the bit beofre it that makes the whole thing make sense

I appreciate that you posted the Phillipians verse in fuller detail. The meaning was similar enough, though, in that in your version it still said every knee will bow down to Him. that is close enough for me.

He won't make me, so I hope he doesn't try to. It sounded like that was the tone of the verse though, the forced submission of all people in the end.

not forced,im afraid that you made it sound liek that though!
if you keepr eading one verse in the bible it makes more sense, reading the bible as a book can sometimes mean that we miss the point,it is good to keep reading over the same verse till we really understand all it has to say.

and no god does not foce anyone, but everybody will one day know that jesus is high above all names,he is the almighty he is all love!

another verse people seem to misinterpret the tone is
'there will be order in the house'
often people see this as a comand rather than advise, that it is good to ahve rules and orders, but it is also good to have freedom and liberty!

    another verse always compliments another

    Well said Arlia.
This particular scripture describing 'every knee bowing' does not make any mention of 'Forced' actions and it does not imply a 'humility' being brought on people (as if they had 'lost' to Jesus')

It only describes the end of our modern age, after Jesus defeats evil and not surprisingly everyone honours Jesus.

    A Curious thing:
    - Taking 'snippets' of scripture, out of their context is exactly what Satan did when he tempted Jesus.
    - Its a favourite technique of 'Anti-Bible' 'Atheism' websites.
    - Its used by Muslim apologists too
    BUT
    - Its also very popular to quote 'half a scripture' by Televangelists,
    Cults
and what we sometimes call 'Fundies'.

Got off topic a little bit - but thought it was interesting to point that out.
