Glass bongs are better in my opinion, but the good thing about acrylic is there more durable

my buddy gots a case for it too with like velvet inside... but his bong is broken now anyhow lol..

Its obvious glass is better to smoke out of, but acrylic is easier to clean, move around, and durable.

Glass bongs are the fucking shiznit. And whoever said that they stink majorly, just pour a little rose water into the bong, clears the smell right up.

If you're low on cash, i'd go for a springer. Cheap, very durable, easy to carry, easy to clean, and if you get the larger one, still a quality smoke.

    1. glass is far easier to clean. slap that MOFO in the dish washing mech. hell! just put a little rubbing alcohol in it shake and rinse with warm water.

    2. uhg i don't know about you but my glass is just as easy to carry around in a bag as f!cking plastic. it's not like it's heavy.

But when you take a glass billy out with you, it's more likely to break. Don't have to worry about that with an acrylic.

all you need to clean glass bongs is a little oxyclean then rinse throughly with hot water to get them chemicals off

I think acrylic bongs look cheap and cheesy. Get some class and buy some good old hand blown glass...

    lol...

i've always liked glass better, and if you ever see someone making a glass bong, or make one yourself, you'll appreciate it that much more. a LOT goes into those little buggers, and that's why they cost so much. especially hand blown regular glass, as apposed to the pyrex bongs. now, i find hand blown that much more amazing because i've actually worked with it, and the process is definitely that much more of an art form in it'self (let alone the greater possibilities of where you can go), but if you're going to be putting ice in it, definitely go with pyrex. the "popping" you described was definitely of a hand blown bong as apposed to a pyrex one, seeing as how tiny airbubbles can get trapped in the glass as well as other inconsistencies that rarely appear in pyrex, not to mention that pyrex is just more temperature flexible then regular glass. if you put ice in a normal glass bong, the temperature fluxuation is definitely enough to make the whole thing crack or pop.

glass is the way to go, you just cant beat the hit off a nice glass bong. i would only go acrylic if you were gonna get something ridiculous like a 6 footer of something

i am a glassblower, and seriously, the pieces you see for sale are completel worth the money... anything over like 8 inches takes a good amount of time to make. i dont know what kind of toker you are, but unless youre going to be doing a ton of traveling with it, i recommend glass...

I have both. Glass stays at my house. Acrylic for parties camping and such.

I love glass, and only own glass peices. My friend, however, got an acrylic 'cause he was worried about breakage while away at school. It was cheap, it's light, not as fragile as glass, and it did hit really great.
