Jorge Luis Borges is one of my favorites. He was an Argentinian post-modern surrealist (kind of). His writing deals with a lot of heavy philosophical issues but it's truly beautiful and very entertaining. Try 'Labyrinths', it's a collection of his short fiction plus a few essays at the end.
just came across this reading one of the books from erowid "Murphy:[3] One 8-year-old made a very good recovery. That was completed 3 years ago, and I hear from the family quite often. She had a long-standing extremely chronic, and extremely restive, character disorder. She was an enuretic child with deep sexual conflicts, whom I had had in unsuccessful psychotherapy for a year before she started LSD. I was getting absolutely nowhere with her. In treatment, she worked up to 300 mcg (of LSD) and took them regularly, once a week." http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/lsd/staf4.htm
thats very interesting pork im going to have to give that a read once i complete some of these books i just purchased. again anybody have any of the books posted here they can sell pm me
I remember reading reports similar to this. Here's some more of them: http://www.hofmann.org/papers/fisher/fisher_4.htm It's so sad that there are so many other children that won't and haven't been saved because of the law and media.
I don't know if this was what you were particularly looking for, but the Dune Series is the most psychedelic, and rewarding, reading experience of my life. It seriously helped me become a better human being.
ill look into the dune next as its been recommended by 2 very well known posters. an well im looking for life changing an understand more every day. lately ive been very confused about life its self an well im not going to lie i feel very lost an almost think i should be in a institution for a bit till my head clears up but after reading siddhartha my heads alot better into thus spoke zarathustra an its great defiantly a challenging read though, for a 18 year old high school drop out (dont get on me about it im taking a ged class as we speak ill have my ged in January) i feel like im doing pretty decent with it.
Yeah if you're gonna read Dune gotta read all 6 original books. the best are the last 3 imo I've read this whole series upwards of 10 times in its entirety. It has as well completely changed my life. This is the LSD of fiction. Herbert's imagination is fucking holy legend.
ill defiantly give it a try not much of a fiction fan but well see where it goes. they look good an if there life changing well thats what i need to be reading. and im sure my family (hard core catholic family) will like those better than what ive been reading. but its what i want to study an what im interested in not them now is it?
Tripping by Charles Hayes - 400+ pages of trip reports, mostly LSD, none previously published, like, say, the ever-appearing Good Friday Experiment. Amazing Dope Tales by Stephen Gaskin - what happens when many very high people trip a lot. (To me) this book is a trip vs. about trips. Stephen was my teacher in the 60s and 70s.
