Lets touch boobs brother. OK, here is another question (stolen from High Fidelity), does an artist's later exploits devalue their earlier works? Bob Dylan is an epic example. I'm never going to not like Bob because he stopped being awesome in the 80s, but it does take away from his image somewhat.
The old rag is a legend, no doubt. After a while, it begins to stink and you gotta throw it out, ya know? Bob was a good rag. Bob was like.. a ShamWow that actually delivered. and you don't see that happen a lot nowadays.
thing is, when rags get too old, we should really just give em a last wash, fold them up gently, and leave em in the drawer. maybe use them to clean up motor oil as a finale. but for god's sake why rub a dirty rag all over your clean dishes??? Paul McCartney is such a good example. but fuck he used to rock, I would still give my left arm to watch him suck a fat dick onstage.
jesus christ....paul mccartney used to be awesome. RAM was an unbelievable album. memory almost full makes me want to kill people.
Whether they sell out or not, musicians get shit for their style. There are some really talented bands that are so up their own butt, I wish they would sell out and make their music more accessible.
Thankyou friends for reminding me that I need to hang out the rags I just washed. I put mine in the washing machine like a clever person.
Nope, they smell soapy fresh. I would dry myself with them. I am even thinking of making a moo moo out of them.
Well, it makes you wonder whether the artist was really "about" their music in the earlier days. I think it is safe to say that Bob Dylan is not really the free-wheelin, poetic type that he once was. Again, it may just be the price of fame. The question goes round and round in circles.
