Respect upon the passing of Ginger Baker BLIND FAITH - 'Can't find my way home' May your way home be found to Rock in Paradise
He was only one of the greatest drummers of all time. Ginger Baker was a British rock drummer and founding member of Cream, the first rock super group. Other members were Jack Bruce on bass and Eric Clapton on guitar. Baker considered himself to be a Jazz drummer. Cream lasted two years and released four albums while together, twenty total, including numerous gold and platinum. They broke up due to conflicts between Baker and Bruce, it's been reported that at one concert Baker attacked Bruce with a knife. He then went on to join Blind Faith with Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, and Ric Grech. They released one album. He was one of the first drummers to use a double bass drum. In 1966 with the song Toad he established the classic rock drum solo. Ginger wrote and sang Pressed Rat and Warthog, from which our own Pressed Rat got his name.
