Well done! He was a rough haired Jack Russell who bared his teeth viciously if you put a tumbler of whisky near his nose. I used to tease him with it. He was a pub dog so he'd obviously had experience of the misfortunes of heavy drinkers. Hope he's in dog heaven now.
