Liverpool has always been run by crazy mad Labour Trotsky leaning idiots Phil.
Although it is my hometown (I left for work in Northampton when I was aged 30. Now living in Rhos On Sea North Wales of course)) I would not wish to move back there.
Gobshite Andy Burnham is someone who has always talked out of his arse, so nothing new there!

    Regarding Council Tax.
I see in Liverpool is one of the highest in the country.
    Bloody disgraceful that:

    • Band A - Total annual charge £1351.78
    • Band B - Total annual charge £1577.07
    • Band C - Total annual charge £1802.38
    • Band D - Total annual charge £1949.87
    • Band E - Total annual charge £2478.26
    • Band F - Total annual charge £2928.85
    • Band G - Total annual charge £3379.46
    • Band H - Total annual charge £4055.34

Well.It seems the Pandemic is over.
Took a trip out this morning to Remember - with reverence and respect.
And 90% of the people I saw - No Masks. - I guess I missed the memo ????
(Maybe it's just the Northern song we sing?)

It is great when people start to see the funny side. :):):)

Here in suburban London, virtually nothing has changed over the last few days.
Right from the start, most people have taken some extra care and it has developed into a socially acceptable routine. The only time that I wear a mask is on public transport and when visiting large shops, particularly when they are not local.

All our trade suppliers are open as normal, but a few DIY companies are attempting the non essential rout. However, they mostly accept that people need a new kettle when theirs gives up and even replacing a broken television is necessary when people are spending more time at home.

Covid is the first time that a new virus has caused such a fuss, but ALL early mutation viruses put a strain on the NHS.
We need a future where all the governments need to do is tell us to be careful and we will all know how to react. They may need to close a few bars and clubs during any peak, but once people know the reason why they will cooperate to save lives.

As I have previously mentioned and caused some surprise, the TOTAL death rate in England for the period January to October is up by 2.7%. on the average over the last 5 years.
Not a great deal different from other years that suffered a nasty flue virus.

The whole country is in a limited lockdown. Everything been closed down apart from essential shops .Police state with the threaten of fines up to £10000.Two of these extreme fines have been given out in my home town including a person hosting a house warming party. Nice neighbours me thinks . I hate grassers .

I have not heard a single case of this happening in our area, but I could understand complaints if some idiots decided to hold a wild party and invited hoards of people spilling out all over the neighbourhood.

From the reports that I have seen, I think that in a few areas, people are behaving like complete fools. It is most likely that if that was not happening, the second lockdown would not have been necessary.
I also think that including London in this last wave is partly the governments way of avoiding being accused of a north / south discrimination.

Who would want to be a prime minister during these times........ NOT ME........ :):):)

I'm so late to the party with this - But in my defence - it never crossed my mind
20% VAT to be charged on face masks and PPE as Treasury refuses to extend tax break
(I remember when V.A.T. was charged for 'Luxury items')
Imposing a charge on a mandatory directive is immoral, (albeit financially in line with this Governments way of getting money from the general public,- whilst ensuring their CBI/mates still fill their pockets)
It is therefore understandable why so many people rebel against the wearing of such.
We just cannot believe this Governments 'Advice and Guidance'
Though contrary to this, the first thing I would put on if I was going on a protest rally - is a mask - Big Brother may well still be watching (*everywhere) and ID of individuals more difficult with a face covering.
