She sounds cool. Do you think she will stay barefoot all winter?

I just "lead" by example. I figure if people see me out and about, an older and fairly normal looking man not wearing shoes...it will seem like a normal and OK thing to do. Which of course, it is. Today (Nov. 28) in the American Midwest it's an uncommon 55 degrees and sunny, so I will be raking leaves...barefoot of course, although I will be wearing leg warmers under long pants. My neighbors are used to seeing me this way, but so far none have followed suit. Their loss!

As promised, barefoot in the yard. 55-60 degrees and sunny. Just back from the brush dump. Notice the leg warmers under the pants...really helps to keep the feet warm. barefoot in November-2.jpg

I will always consider wearing footwear or anything on your feet to pretty much be the same as playing video games while blindfolded.

That is an interesting comparison. I guess the idea that your feet can't "see" the ground? I certainly relate. Gee, I hate having my feet covered. Sadly, where I live it is very cold right now...and so must wear foot coverings. I am not a masochist. I don't understand the fad of going barefoot in the snow.

If the snow is thin, I don't mind going barefoot in it for short periods of time. Any longer or in deeper snow, and I am putting on boots.
