So I found some bottles with some Alprazolam and I was wondering, is it worth it to snort it or just take it orally to get high? Would it be better to take it orally and would I still get that high I'm looking for?
If i remember correctly the xanax high is only like 4 hours whe ntaken orally.. Was it the same length when snorted? or shorter?
If its 2mg xanax, you can break it up into quarters and take it slowly to see what your tolerance is. I wouldnt recommend going pass 4mg if youre starting out. & yes snorting gives you a better high. You can also place it under your tongue until it melts (itll be super bitter) bc you get more out of it than if you just take it with water. Be careful though, my husband is on it now, prescribed & hes had a seizure before since he was so dependent on it and bc he went 2 days without.
Thanks so much guys for the responses! I think since I've never done it I'll go ahead with taking it orally instead of planning on snorting it. Seems a bit safer that way but eventually I might try it.
Just be careful benzos like this one and alcohol are the only WDs that can kill you (as far as I know) and tolerance builds up fast if you take it regularly
The seizures are what I'm afraid of. Is there a chance of it occurring if it's taken for the first time?
Yeah, 1-2mg should do it. I don't get high from it though, it just makes me drowsy. It's excellent to have in stressful times though. When you're on Xannies and something happens like your car breaking down, you feel like, ok no problem, I can deal with it. It's cool. Don't take it with alcohol though. Ever. Alcohol clouds your judgment and you begin to think that just 1 more pill won't hurt me, then 1 more and so on, and before you know it you're toe-tagged.
no not really. benzos which include xanax actually have antiepileptic effects that will actually prevent seizures. the thing is though with chronic use you build up a tolerance and then when you lower your dosage too fast because you get a rebound effect, opposite effects of the drug like anxiety, insomnia and seizures definitely not a drug to fuck around with and get dependent on, you will notice when this is happening as you start increasing your doses. theres one member on here that can take 10 bars and barely feel it, and according to him has taken over 100 bars before. obviously he has a tolerance. taking big doses is the fastest way to raise your tolerance. once you take the big doses that becomes your new normal dose, then you make your doses bigger and bigger and a "regular" dose is barely felt.
That's true about the tolerance, and it's definitely addictive. The wd's from benzo's aren't like those with opiates. These wd's can go on and on, and coming off Xanax can cause seizures. This may sound unbelievable, but I knew a guy a few years ago who was terribly addicted to Xannies, and he was borrowing money from his mother to get them. Apparently she got tired of it. On Christmas day in 2011 he beat her to death. She was 84. I saw him later that day before he was arrested and he had a wad of cash that would choke a horse, and he was bragging about the drugs he was going to buy. He's in Menard now. Somehow he got off with only 30 years, so he must have given some people up to get that deal.
