Close enough for government work. My grandmother was a hill billy from Kentucky who baby sat for Loretta Lynn. Her house was made of the leftover wood from the 1908 St Louis world's fair, and my uncles would sit under the hundred year old oak and joke about lynching niggers and setting dogs tails on fire. Other southern states have their own problems with KKK and Neo-Nazis constantly trying to tell everyone else how to be better citizens, but Alabama takes the cake when it comes to issues like civil rights and abortion.

Even their cops look like something out of a fucking cartoon and their necks could not possibly get any redder.

 

Interesting, it must be their plan in Alabama to filter in blacks through their top rated college football programs into the NFL to have them suffer CTE and Head Injuries. If we overlook the millions of dollars the players make in the process, I must say the plan is pretty diabolical.

 

Those rednecks do what all rednecks do, they organize special training camps for their best talent, because college football is enormous money. Harvard and Yale can get away with a mediocre football team, but all the others know damned well it attracts more students and makes them big bucks. Exploiting blacks on the football field is almost as satisfying as owning them, and these rednecks will even brag about how physically superior their blacks are. They bred them to breed like flies and work the fields, and even fake their grades if necessary.

Abortion is fundamentally different though. After several thoughtful responses in that recent Abortion Thread on this site from the pro-choice advocates, it is a bit disheartening to see some try and justify this ladies comments.

 

Abortion is not fundamentally different in a country with the worst social record in the developed world, and where those who are against abortion are among the worst possible offenders. If anti-abortion advocates had a moral spine to speak of, it would not be an issue. Even the Mormons can hardly stand their KKK and Neo-Nazi brethren. Fundamentalism is Fundamentally Flawed, even according to the psychologists and their own evangelical Bana Group studies. Of course, fundamentalists claim its everyone else's fault.

Fundamentalist Christians have the honorable distinction of having the worst social record in the country with the worst social record in the developed world. They have more abortions than anyone else in the western hemisphere. Its a sick culture that you want nothing to do with, but will never leave the rest of the world alone.

You're missing the point too

For one, the debate around abortion isnt JUST about the ability to terminate pregnancy. It is about bodily autonomy, and it is about the ability for doctors to help patients make the best decisions for their health without government involvement.

Forcing men to undergo a barbaric procedure for reproductive purposes is not fundamentally different from forcing 11 year old rape victims to endure pregnancy, or forcing a mother to die so that her baby can be birthed. It is the exact same thing on a fundamental level, actually. If it makes you uncomfortable to hear people make jokes about castration - thats the point of her statement, isnt it? That discomfort you're feeling is the exact same discomfort felt by many people (hopefully men as well as women) when Alabama passed regressive laws that stripped rights away from not only adult women but children and rape victims. Except one is actually happening and one will never happen.

I'm not trying to justify her statement, i'm explaining what she meant by it since it went over some heads. I actually wouldnt really know or care about what she said if 6 had not brought it up, and I dont feel there's anything to justify, besides. Like I said, her intention was obvious

In a week no one will remember what she said but rape victims will still be forced to give birth in Alabama - thats probably the biggest takeaway here.

 

Alabama will simply have the distinction of any other fundamentalist state, of exporting their garbage. They will push all their abortion business on their neighbors, and then criticize them for taking over their job.

 

Did you even read her quote? She doesn't mention rape at all.

Regardless rape is a crime, so if you're equating the two, she's calling for crime against all men.

Ok thats about all of this conversation i can take lol, i'm bowing out. Like i said, her comments will be forgotten in a week and meanwhile abortion will be working its way up to the Supreme Court. Some things are important, some arent.

Meaning castration is a barbaric pregnancy prevention idea, not the same as determining when life begins after a fertilized egg and termination within that process.

I'm not sure how people in Alabama who support that legislation can view the criminal act of rape as less immoral than abortion but I don't think spewing out even more draconian ideas, even if in jest, really helps the cause on the other side.

 

The Supremes could not find their own asses with both hands, because they don't keep their wallets there. They only get to become Supreme anymore if they know how to duck real low, because they already have a token black and three empty seats. Justice requires fewer justices every decade and less deliberation. Subtle legal distinctions are counterproductive in the age of reality TV, and can cost more, when its now legal for any cop in Arizona to bust down any door and just claim they smelled pot, while the courts are compelling people to testify against themselves, and the constitution is an expensive piece of toilet paper nobody I know can afford.

If you want justice these days, you have a better chance of finding it at the bottom of a Cracker Jack box.

 

If Adolf Hitler were to argue against abortion, and insist the entire country make it illegal, I would question his motives. Currently the white population is crashing, and republicans are even making videos begging their white constituents to make babies. These rednecks are so desperate they will do anything to deny the fucking fact they are killing themselves along with the rest of the country. They are currently dropping like flies from alcoholism, stress, and every kind of insanity you care to name.

My work includes helping them to develop more ulcers, and teaching people how to avoid all their crap.

 

Not at all. Both issues revolve around bodily autonomy. But one happens to be predominantly male while the other predominantly female.

This won't stop abortions. This will only stop safe abortions.
