Police officers in Indialantic, Florida, responded to at least seven calls about a man disturbing the peace on April 7. Patrons of Starbucks and Sassy Granny's Smoothies, among others, were startled when 61-year-old Thomas Devaney Lane started yelling, calling himself "the saint" and threatening to unleash his army of turtles on the community. According to WKMG, Lane went along with an officer to the police station, where he screamed at the dispatcher and pounded on the walls, but then left the building. He was located later at a 7-Eleven, verbally assaulting customers. As officers stood by, Lane called 911 and told the dispatcher, "I need to leave now or you will all be sorry you (expletive) with the saint." Are you referring to AOC's comments on global warming with the kids? Conservative American families are more likely to be religious and less likely to use birth control. I see that as an immoral choice due to global warming and man's impact. It's turned into a dog whistle for racists. Oh now they want to kill our race! It's silly. For some reason when the first white man saw a black women in Africa or a native women in the New World he wanted to have sex with her. He did not want to have sex with a monkey or a horse. Personally my fiance comes from a VERY right wing family. She was the rebel. So yes it does happen. Kids do not agree with parents. I'm sure there are some vegan Obama voters with a NRA son.

Humans as a whole need to rethink how we fuck. It's not a political issue it's an issue of the world's resources. The Bible says be fruitful; and multiply because there is no pill and if a women had 10 kids 8 will die of war of sickness before the age of 30. Who will take care of mom when she's old? There is no nursing home or social security. Who will run the farm? You need many kids to keep the human race going. Also, the world's population is a few million due to this high death rate. If you look at nature most animals will die. There is a reason a snake lays dozens of eggs and yet the world is not full of snakes. We as humans have gotten past this with doctors and our minds creating things to keep us safe.

You use woke as an insult but we are the result of thousands of generations of humans who kept the world in one piece. It would be sad if we ruined all that with our ignorance and politcal lines. There is nothing wrong with educating and understanding.

Why would CNBC feel the need to be pushing this notion women are better off slaving away in a career rather than spending more time with her kids (or getting pregnant for that matter)? Latchkey children with both parents working overtime are less advantaged than kids who have more quality time with their parents.

The study found that having children has the biggest environmental footprint of anything else included in the study. I dont know that reporting on the study is propaganda, because the word propaganda itself implies an untruth. What is untrue about children having a huge environmental impact? Trust me buddy, I have a child and it fills me with great guilt to think of all those little plastic toy parts finding their way to the ocean one day

The plastic gyres circulating our oceans is actually one of the most significant environmental problems we face today, and it's very underappreciated and under-reported on. Sadly most of that is plastic from the 3rd world and places where garbage is strewn everywhere, and where the culture of environmental stewardship is non existent. They litter far more than wealthy nations do for some reason.

And don't worry, the diapers and wipes you throw away do more to help by creating renewable landfill energy through methane production.

No. Geothermal energy is harnessing magma energy from deep within the Earth. Not from landfills. Geothermal energy is my favorite alt-energy source though as it can last forever with very little maintenance. Unlike wind or solar which are pitiful in comparison.

 

That's an interesting thought, using Maxwell's Demon in a superconducting thermal diode you would require less of a thermal mass to maintain the temperature of something like a house and it would mean an earthship style house could be made significantly cheaper. For example, you could use the water well pipe for a thermal mass and that alone might be enough to stabilize the system so its not running continuously. Rainwater collected would also contribute to the thermal mass which might vary significantly without affecting the performance of the system.
