My gerbil, about 1 and a half years old, is losing the hair on his tail. He's kinda lethargic during the day and his nose seems to be a little bloody. We've deduced that the nose is probably because he's in need of a manicure, so to speak. I don't have enough money to take him to the vet, (its like $50 to have him examined) so i was hoping that someone out on the world wide web might know what's up. Thank you.

Well the good news is we're 90% sure he's molting. Which is natural. He's just getting his summer coat in. I'm pretty sure the lethargy is because its just so darn hot lately. I wouldn't want to run a lot either.
