It's grievously sad that ~50% of the electorate would vote for White Supremacy, but I'll take what victories we can where we can.
Biden will surely expand the Supreme Court and appoint additional justices who will prevent the conservatives from tearing down Roe v Wade, among others.
seems drastic for him. He's been in politics forever and that kind of change would certainly tarnish his image - I think it would be construed as a type of cheating by most of his contemporaries to simply expand the supreme court. Are there pros and cons of expanding the supreme court? I'm not up on it, but I think it would be viewed (perhaps wrongly) as a mistake.
He's old-school in that regard. I don't think he wants the democrat electorate to think he's selling America down the river to the commies so to speak
Biden says he's 'not a fan' of court-packing and that he doesn't want to make the election about the issue - CNNPolitics hmm but then Biden Says He Will Convene Bipartisan Commission To Study Reforms To U.S. Courts : NPR
Before we start dissecting the Biden administration, let's make sure they actually get the transition of power we deserve and are expecting. I am delighted the dems seem to have won, but so evenly split. What happens when there is no Senate Majority Leader? Who controls the floor and allows bills to be voted on? Would that be Kamala as VP being the tie breaker? Lots to learn here today and in the near future.
America was broken half a century ago, and no longer exists. Welcome to the USWS, United States of Wall Street. You can buy anything in US these days, except brains. The presidency will cost you a cool billion.
True but there are some Democrats who still give half a shit. You even find a good Republican here and there.
For the second time in two months America owes a debt of gratitude to black, Latino, tribal and other minorities who weren’t intimidated by the wealthy and privileged. Too many Republicans have tried to portray people who care about others as bomb tossing Bolsheviks. History is unlikely to look on them kindly. Georgia is leading America to a new day and we need to embrace peace, love and kindness.
Understandable since he has an 18,000 vote lead and the majority of remaining votes come from democratic strongholds
They are total idiots. All the surveys indicate that both dems and republicans hate each other more than they trust their own parties. To quote Cool Hand Luke, "What we have here is a failure to communicate!" The assholes are so busy attacking each other, Wall Street owns the fucking country. Merely inciting the Tea Party to riot, is enough to ensure money does all the talking worth listening to, unless you have nuclear weapons. A strong majority of Americans tends to ignore anything they believe contradicts conventional wisdom, even though a century of efforts have failed to document the existence of common sense anywhere in the world. They are compulsive liars, whose teachers teach that English only has one grammar, when it has two, and refuse to teach children how to use a fucking dictionary, share their words, and play nice. They are fucking chickens, without a clue, because their entire culture is full of crap. All that will soon change, when instant karma is declared a law of nature, because the idiots are killing their own people fighting nonstop and urging them to work harder.
