Movin' to the country, gonna eat me a lot of peaches.
Millions of peaches, peaches for me.
Millions of peaches, peaches for free.

  3. The peaches thing was a metaphor for women. It was all Adam's fault for eating Eve's peach.

    Riddle me this:

How come Able can be found in Adam's genealogy and Cain can not? If he were Adam's son, his name would surly be in there.

    Because Cain was satans son.

I'll go further if you're interested. If not?

Hey, so be it. I'm in charge of my own soul.

Just think about this..... I study the bible in four languages all day long, every day. What I say comes from no man, but me.

That said, I encourage you to believe no man but yourself.

What scripture would you like me to cite, other than what I already told you?

Check out Adam's genealogy and see if you can find Cain. You will find Able.

But, unless there's a massive typo that transgresses all versions in all languages, it points to another father for Cain, other than Adam.

Once you see and accept that, I'll go further.

    You are mistaken.

Cain would not be in Adam's genealogy, because genealogies always are looking back.

Also, if we use the Lucan genealogy of Jesus, Cain is not in it because Adam and Eve had more children. Seth was their third son. According to Genesis, we are descended from Seth.

Whether that is historically concordant (that is to say, literal history) is another issue.

Yeah.... they're all in there...... except for Cain of course.

Your reasoning, if you can call it that, seems to suggest that Cain is older than Adam. If not. I cant figure out what you said as to the reason why Cain would not be in Adam's genealogy. THE REST OF THEM ARE.

You need to pick up your Bible and quit leading these folks to the slaughter.

If I may, I believe what Ukr-Cdn is saying is that a genealogy is by definition one's ancestors not one's descendants. So properly speaking Adam's genealogy would be God. Where as, his descendants would be Cain, Abel and Seth, also others who were unnamed.

No, what I said is that Cain is not an ancestor of Jesus. That is why in Jesus' genealogy, Cain is absent. Abel is absent because he had no children.

Can you find Reuben in Jesus' genealogy? No. That is because Jesus is not descended from him. He is descended from the tribe of Judah.

I will say this plainly: Adam does not have a genealogy listed because he was the first made by God. No one came before him. In lists of the descendants of Adam, Cain is removed because the Hebrews (and all of humanity) come from Adam's third son Seth and then finally moves to Noah and his sons who were the only humans to survive the flood.

You need to not ask any more silly questions.
