Critics are insisting Will Smith's new movie "Gemini Man" is the first truly amazing 3D movie made, using 120fps. The higher frame rate reduces things such as the background blurring if you spin the camera quickly to track an object or person, and is really a good minimum for helping to completely eliminate any of the usual problems with 3D making people dizzy or whatever. According to the critics, this film feels like you are actually in the film. In another ten years, they should be able to do the same using more advanced "lightfield" technology that will even allow you to focus your eyes anywhere within the picture, as if you are literally there, except you can't just move around at will. Using these kinds of cameras and whatever cinematic effects they figure out that work best with the medium, it will inevitably be ported into VR as well. The movie parts that you just watch are what gamers call "cutscenes", while other parts such as action sequences can be made interactive.
