Have anyone of you seen any footage of Israelis soldiers forcing Israeli settlers out of Gaza? I thought it was heart wrenching to see Jews force out other Jews, out of their ancestral homes… I found it even more difficult to feel sympathetic towards Palestinians, whom I consider aren’t capable of making Peace
I saw them with my own eyes before I left Israel 3-4 days ago. The pullout is the best thing for Middle East politics right now. All the settlers are getting new houses, jobs, and financial funds. The settlers are the ortodox radical jews, mostly, who are a problem in Israel. If they would have not been pulled out of Gaza, then palestinian terrorists would have murdered them. It is for thier own good, and they do not understand it. The land was promised to Palestine. If you leave the settlers there, and give the land away, then you start a full scale war between the settlers and the palestinians. Sharon is a strong leader. No one else would have been able to stand the pressure of the pullout. Next move should be eliminating the palestinian terrorist organizations (unless they calm down). They no longer have valid excuses for terror.
I understand Palestinians want a State of their own, however it seems to me by their rhetoric and actions that they won’t accept anything less then to push the Jews into the Mediterranean Sea….. These irreconcilable differences lead me to think that the land in question will be either all Israeli or all Palestinian…
Those are the extrimist Palestinians, most of whom are in terror groups (Hammas, Jihad, etc). Alot of Palestinians are peace loving people. Do not generalize.
West Bank towns are next to be evacuated, it's already in the works. East Jerusalem is sadly another issue... but I do believe that the Palestinians must first prove worthy, and then even ask for Jerusalem.
The fact is, none of that land rightfully belongs to the Jews. It never has. Israel was created based on a lie, one of them being the Old Testament. Look at all the chaos that has arisen in the Middle East since the formation of Israel in 1948. Israel has nothing to do with the Jewish people, but the political movement known as Zionism, which has only exploited Judaism to meet its own ends.
Israel has to do with a bunch of persecuted people searching for a home, and being legally given that home by the UN.
The settlers that are being moved are being given the equivalent of $250,000-$500,000 USD to move. A quarter to a half a million USD - almost makes me wish I lived there! They are being well compensated, and only few refused to leave. Most of the people protesting did not even live there, but have only travelled there to protest the pullout.
