Gay Pride Miami Beach April 12, 2015 EDIT: April 16, 2015 All these pix that ppl enjoyed are now gone because the Photobucket account from where they were linked was banned. It all started when this pic was deleted" German Military Hat - Not Much Else (Fucking PhotoBucket deleted this pic "Violation of Terms of Use" on April 15, 2015) So, I uploaded that pic to Twitter and linked it again. Twitter Link Then, I appealed to Photobucket "Support" for an explanation why a pic, taken on a Miami Beach sidewalk was a violation of their terms of service. Today, while awaiting any dialogue from Photobucket support, I got this message: Photobucket Abuse Team (Photobucket Support) Apr 16, 11:36 AM Hello there. Photobucket Support If I had the money, I would get a lawyer to make them explain exactly why the banned my account. The nudity was not the issue - I have all those fotos on tumblr or flikr. I really think, (Like Michael Stokes has had with facebook, they are against any representation of gays celebrating themselves. So, all my foto essays of every Gay Rights event posted here from 2010 are now without pix. Also, I had many other linked pix from Photobucket that will now be gone, like my tattoos, Family history, - a bunch. Most are on old threads not accessed too much, but it upsets me that they are there without images.
OK, gonna redo this thread using links from facebook. They too sometimes disappear - we'll see Gay Pride Miami Beach - April 12, 2015 By Shale I attended the Miami Beach Gay Pride parade and festival today. It was not as crowded as in years past and there was a real lack of the floats full of Speedo Clad Buff Boys from various clubs. Only about 3 guys hot enuf to excite me. First thing I saw when I arrived around 11 AM was this HIV testing truck, so I went in and got tested even tho I knew I was negative. I do not engage in hi-risk sex but on the outside chance ... (Yep, I was negative.) HIV Test Truck Then I cam across this Carnival Muscle Guy cutout and just had to do it. I actually tightened my abs when taking this pic out of habit. About Noon the parade started with the Miami Beach Cop Car that shows up at gay events. Miami Beach Rainbow Police Car in Parade Followed by other businesses and orgs that are gay inclusive. There wasn't the huge "Dykes on Bikes" element that I've seen in other parades, but there were a few. Dykes On Bikes
The Grand Marshall this year was the str8 Mario Lopez, tho a few of us think he is too damn cute to be str8. It was hard getting a pic of Mario - he mostly looked at the hotel side of the street and there were inconsiderate ppl always blocking the view. There were fewer "Legacy Couples" than in the past and they can now become married partners in Florida so that civil rights travesty has come to an end. Legacy Couple Guys 35 years Legacy Couple Women 26 years
There were the usual Drag Queens on display And, of course there had to be Cher at the Gay Pride event. One of the few skimpily clad lads in this year's parade but there was no float of multiple buff guys in Speedos as we had in previous parades. Cute Boy in Speedo on Float At least there was this guy in his Diesel Undies to appease the old gay letches. Cute Boy in Undies on Float
One of my favorite moments of these Pride events is to see ppl in attendance who could openly display their affection and enjoy the camaraderie with hundreds of others in the same head space. I got a few good pix of some of the crowd. This young man had all sorts of condoms in his Bikini and even had a few Magnums. There has to be at least one guy in a G-string and military boots. And then there are the more blatant advertisers. (BTW, I could see his ass thru the net shorts - not false advertising) These guys looked so cute together, had to get a pic.
There seemed to be more Lesbians than Gay Guys in the crowds this year and there were no Speedo/Undie models like there were last year. IDK what the change is, just a natural paradigm shift or is Pride winding down as a gay guy event. But, love is love and the Lesbians were showing it all over Lummus Park. There Were Some Guy Couples A Cute Lesbian Couple. (Don't tell anyone but girls who look like teen boys really turn me on) Holding Hands While Walking Down Street A Couple Standing in Park
Nobody Knows I am a Lesbian Yes, there are Lipstick Lesbians. (couldn't pass up this foto) Even tho the gay male focus was diminished this year from what has been in past Pride events, I did enjoy myself hanging with so many like-minded ppl in my community.
Lucky! I wanted to be there but I didn't have a ride. From what I hear, traffic was crazy that weekend so there was no way I was getting on a bus down there. I will, however, be at Fort Lauderdale Pride this year. It seems they moved it to October for some reason. Maybe I'll see some of you guys there!
Shale, I don't know why you're not posting these images on here? You have plenty of space, no? Sorry to hear about the problems with those other sites. Remember, Hip forums has been around a LOT longer than those other websites.
Good pix. But disappointed to see all of those scantily clad people and no one barefoot! In Miami Beach! I guess even the gay community doesn't like going barefoot in public.
There was a barefoot het couple in attendance and I got a pic of it just because it is so rare. A real retro moment to the '60s. Bearded, long hair on the guy, unshaved legs and pits on the woman. Their English had an accent from Europe and they were not really into the gay pride thing, just Tourists on SoBe.
