It's getting to that time of life where I am looking at leaving the homestead and searching for less expensive digs. I've got my eye in search of a gay 55+ community somewhere. The search seems to narrow itself since I don't want to live in an historically/culturally red state, a terrain that promotes outdoor life and hiking trails, or that uses the phrase 'Gay Friendly*.' *I suppose gay friendly is better than gay hostile, but the term is open to too much interpretation. Anyway, the only one that I have found to my liking as of now is in Gresham, a city outside Portland. If anyone has any insight about such places, I would be interested in getting some feedback.
