The coincidence of the manipulation of price just seems to be a little more than market driven.

Gasoline prices, here in the Detroit suburbs, is, and has been, very stable since the beginning of summer, now holding between about $1.159 - $1.259/US GAL. Yesterday, Nov. 25th, 2006 (Saturday) I paid $1.159/US GAL.

In our economic system, SUPPLY and DEMAND is supposed to regulate prices of goods and services. As DEMAND goes up, SUPPLY usually goes down, then prices have to be raised to curb DEMAND. An insane DEMAND could wipe out all SUPPLY, then you'd have natural resource exhaustion. In a worst-case scenerio, if we ate all of our possible food sources on Earth, then we'd possibly suffer from species extinction. This would not be good.

Even though I took MICRO-ECONOMICS and MACRO-ECONOMICS in college, the REAL ECONOMICS that the RULING ELITE uses is hidden from us, for their own protection, not ours. They don't like competitors, who can snatch their power and control away from them. They don't want the student to become the teacher. Would you, if you were in their shoes?

What are the REAL ECONOMICS? That's a good question! SUPPLY and DEMAND are still important factors, obviously, but SOCIAL ENGINEERING FACTORS {power/control agendas) also factor in, heavily, which include many psychological and socialogical factors. I also took many psychology and socialogical classes, both in High School and College. I thought about a profession in the psychological field.

A SOCIAL ENGINEERING document (i.e. a type of "elite blueprint") was supposedly found in a surplus IBM copy machine in 1986 by a Boeing Aircraft employee, entitled: "TOP SECRET, Silent Weapons for Quite Wars, Operations Research Technical Manual TM-SW7905.1". A website called THE LAWFUL PATH has the best version of this alleged document.
    LINK: http://land.netonecom.net/tlp/ref/sw4qw/index.shtml

    SAMPLE QUOTE:
    "Diversion Summary"
"Media: Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance."
"Schools: Keep the young public ignorant of real mathematics, REAL ECONOMICS, real law, and real history."

Is it genuine? Who knows? But it makes for interesting reading and seems to make too much sense. Adolph Hitler didn't care if "PROTOCOLS of the LEARNED ELDERS of ZION" were genuine, or who wrote them, they made sense to him, so he incorporated many of those ideas into the NAZI philosophies. Better be careful of what you write, it could be turned against you! Remember "THOUGHT structures REALITY" in HYPER-DIMENSIONAL PHYSICS.

"History is BUNK!", stated HENRY FORD. Only the winners, and rulers, can write HISTORY. How many books have been burned throughout history, to be prevented to be included in history books of the future? It's still happening. HISTORY always seems to be very "slanted" and "biased" and "agenda-based". In the movie: HEAD (with THE MONKEES, Written and Produced by Bob Rafelson and Jack Nicholson/1968), the YOGI states: "History is just one system of beliefs disposing another, and so on and so on ... "

Alot of REAL SCIENCE was discovered by NIKOLA TESLA ("hyper-dimensional" stuff). Also, Dr. Henry T. Moray ("Free-Energy" devices) and John Von Neumann ("time-travel equations"), but American and Russian Intelliegence stoled their stuff and kept it CLASSIFIED (away from the SHEEPLE). The Japanese also took some of this information. THE UNIFIED FIELD THEORY was solved, but CLASSIFIED! With these proper GRAVITY and MAGNETISM formulas, you can easily design and build ANTI-GRAVITY spaceships, time machines (resonating, revolving MAGNETIC TORSION fields) and WEATHER MODIFICATION devices (HAARP, particle beams and SCALER Electromagneics).

According to the patent, HAARP is an "atmospheric heater". The atmosphere is full of water vapor (and rivers of water vapor), as shown on water vapor maps (on your local TV NEWS Weather segments). Microwaves agitate, and heat up water molecules, just like in your microwave oven. Powerful particle-beams can be fired from space (or even from the moon) into the ocean, causing a huge rush of steam into the upper atmosphere. VIOLA! Instant storm! Endothermic weapons also exist, which can extract heat, and thus, freeze things. Hot/cold clashes, and thermal inversions, cause violent storms.

Yesterday, on THE TONIGHT SHOW, JAY LENO said that a 17-yr. old boy in Rochester, MICHIGAN (just NW of me), built a functioning FUSION generator, in his basement! Jay Leno swore that it was a true story! FUSION reactors don't need radioactive substances to work. OPPPS! I guess he learned some REAL SCIENCE!

That's what the internet is for, to learn of the REAL SCIENCES and REAL ECONOMICS, and REAL HISTORY, and REAL so forths. It's a self quest. No one website has all the truths, only pieces. It's a giant puzzle, you have to figure out. Of course, some classified information never makes the internet, only suggestions about what that information may be.

GASOLINE PRICES are determined by the MARKET VALUES of SUPPLY and DEMAND, but as "gardener" suggests, there is more to it. SOCIAL ENGINEERING agendas are also a major part, plus who knows what other factors? OIL (like money, drugs, etc.) is used as a SOCIAL ENGINEERING TOOL, plus their obvious uses. Before the NOVEMBER 2006 Mid-Elections, many people talked (even on TV) about the gasoline prices being lowered before ELECTION time. Politics influencing GASOLINE prices? Unheard of, isn't it? Not!

THE TRUTH CAN SET YOU FREE! BUT, WHERE IS IT? IT'S DIFFICULT TO FIND!

Actually, Demand and Supply are independant of each other. As price goes up, the quantity demanded goes down, but this in no way way fundamentally shifts the demand curve. The same with supply - a change in demand cannot change anything but price, (and thus quantity supplied). Things that actually change the supply of a product including increases in technology, change in the price of natural resources, etc.

Of course, this only applies in a perfect market, which oil is far from.

Its a cartel. Its collusion. It ruins a perfect market.

But it isn't Hitler, Satan, and Saddam Hussein making backroom deals.

Do any of you know of a thing called peak oil ?

At the bottom of this link there are two short films ones about 4 minutes , they could be the most important 4 minutes of your life so watch it
    http://www.powerswitch.org.uk/

Heres a film that you can watch for free online
called the end of suburbia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3uvzcY2Xug

Oil isnt going to last, and I doubt there is going to be a magic bullet that they whoever they are will come up with in time

Heres a site that may scare the hell out of you it may be looking at the dark side as I think there are ways round things just not ways that will allow us to live as we live now http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/

    best wishes to you all

indeed piney and cows make milk all the time, fossil fuels took millions of years to make and we cant wait for more to be made

Its amazing looking at this thread that you have so many people on a hippy site not seeing what petrol is, and that the oil age will end and we dont have anything that we can fit into place to replace it .

http://anthropik.com/ykp nice film especially like the native people at the end

Anyone anxious to see what happens when the oil runs out? Panic in the streets? May as well stock up on tofu and ammunition, better safe than sorry. Now, as for this FREE ENERGY... :p

Its not really when it runs out that we will feel the pinch its when its gone over its peak production, and every year from then things will in a way get worse although on the bright side it may stop global warming .

But the stocking up on ammunition and food may be sensible , food more than amminition and store it somewhere safe , learn to garden and recycle your waste grow as much of your food as you can now because if bad times come you wont have the luxury of learning from a book and making lots of mistakes .

Even if there is plenty of food in the shops now you can never be sure this will always be the case , buy local to support local producers of food , if people are used to growing their own food keeping chckens, rabbits, pigs, bees they will be less likely to worry about staving.

learn about preserving your food and stop waste ....cuba went through peak oil after the fall of the soviet union they had several really bad years but they gardened their way out of it , and if cuba can do it so could most of the rest of the world

Peak oil is just taking common sense and turning it into "stocking up on ammunition and food".

Everybody knows, or should know, that gas prices will inevitably rise until it reaches diminishing returns and is no longer a viable source of energy. The difference between that understanding and peak oil is that peak oil throws in the awesome scenario of everybody dying and etc. then turns people who don't read the whole story into proponents of this illogical case of "oil running out".

Take it for what it is... There is a lot to be learned on the subject and our future of energy, but armageddon isn't one of them.

(This is not pointed at any one poster but my general experience on the people who tell me about peak oil and how they're going to live in a storage unit)

hmm you have two possible scares
    1 a possible computer problem
    and
2 the world not having enough oil and every year having much less oil , this is going to happen and the argument is in the time scale nothing more , some people believe its already happened and we are at the peak some people think 2020

A couple of years ago we had a fuel protest I was driving taxis at the time and it brought things pretty much to a standstill , london a city of 7 and a half million people had less than 2 days of food supplys

    please debunk this site

I dont personally intend stocking up on ammunition but I dont live in the usa where I think people are more likely to start shooting each other if they cant get gas for their hummer .
If I did live in the usa I would be more likely to buy ammunition, but just doing that isnt the best way to deal with things , localise grow food in your local area become a gardener, if you have stored food you can help your neighbour as well as not starving yourself with ideally not shooting anybody .

too bad we're not running out of oil....

if i remember my figures correctly, we have something like 500 (5,000?) megatones of fuel left. this will last the world many, many, MANY years. thus, trying to solve global warming by waiting for us to run out of fossil fuel would be a total disaster!

But we pay our added gas taxes more than most. We dump our cars when they become outdated...what more can we do?

Go electric. Help in the development and awareness about electric cars. The GM goons have patented that technology from late 90's, but there's got to be a better way to make these electric cars considering the technological innovations over the past decade.

If anyone can do it, its got to be CA. You guys have got tons of the best techies in the whole friggin world.
