Is it Tillandsia, which a type of Bromeliad. I have some that look quite similar to the one that person is holding in the picture.
I recognize the name Tillandsia. That sounds right. I am never good with names. That is me holding it. But there is also other names. It gets terribly confusing for me. Good thing my people know what they are doing.
I made a misspelling there. Well I said I was hot. Not that I can spell right. Oh, ask and you can receive. When I am ready.
Maybe you could get a heated greenhouse (even a small one?), then you could garden year round. I grow as much veggies and stuff as I can, but am limited on growing space. Nothing quite like eating things that you grew yourself.
I think itis most certainly something I am going to look into, dd3. As of now I feel like there may not be enough room in my parent's backyard, but certainly when I find my own place. Ill figure it out, hehe
i am such a pagan it's absurd at times i want a garden to tend to so badly it's one of my secrets ha!!! i want a secret garden!! i looooooooved that book as a child, kick ass movie as well <random thoughts inevitable> and another very embarassing secret i have, i want a place with my own kitchen like mad i want to throw dinner parties and cook in my kitchen, with vegetables from my garden i'm so lame
I don't think you're lame. I'm dying for a gaddamn kitchen. When I lived in Australia, I grew all my own veg, even grew my own tobacco. The tobacco tasted like shit, but I smoked it proudly.
SO not lame Jess. Im such a domesticate. But... a wild domesticate. Honestly, I just want a home. Its in my nature to.
Oh yeah...We grow our own vegetables and fruits. We have vineyards and orchards. And woods. Its great. I like gardening. And I've basically done everything. You name it, I did it.
i've got a little garden for my home made trains to run arround in. my landlord has a kind of mini-orchard. he always gives us plenty from it too. right now, in addition to a whole ton of lemons i still need to juce and freeze, we've got a bunch of grapefruits too. he always gives us tomatoes when they come in. he grows those too. along with grapes, cherrys, peaches, olali berries, i forget what else, i think that's about it. i've always had some kind of garden wherever i was where i could. if we ever get a place of our own, and i'm still able to even sit up by then, i definately plan on building some sort of solar greenhouse for year round growing. =^^= .../\...
Short of a greenhouse, the most we can hope for here in the northeast is to extend the growing season by the use of a cold-frame The Pagans probably did something similar which has yet to be unearthed. Hotwater
have a big garden, potatoes, tomatoes, broccoli, peas, carrots, swiss chard, kale, parsley, basil, thyme , rosemary, corn (damn raccoons) lots more, that's just off the top of my head, also used to have chickens until dogs killed em', fence has been repaired and getting more chickens in spring plus also getting pigs to eat all the scraps
If Georgia actually gets rain I will plant a garden. I want to have a few berries along with other fruits and vegetables. I just need to find a way to keep the deer and rabbits out.
