I think it would be a mistake to merge the two issues into one. I see what you're saying, and it's a valid point, but multiculturalism and ideology are two distinct issues. Ethnicity and religion may be two forms of division, but to say that multiculturalism is the way forward is not to say that everyone should subscribe to the same ideological structure, as embodied by religion....
dude how is it you know so much about rhodesia? just wondering since most people don't know what it is...
I'm a politics student But calling Zimbabwe Rhodesia, is like calling the Commonwealth the British Empire, or Russia the USSR, I think it's time you accepted that there's no such place as Rhodesia. Even the name itself was a fabrication based on British colonial rule. It's Zimbabwe now, and calling it something else doesn't deny the truth....
ah cool i'm taking politics next year. i'll keep calling it rhodesia because thats what i'm refering to....not zimbabwe
Fair enough, I guess I call Israel Palestine. Can't argue with you if you want to make an ideological point out of a name....
you dont have to be from a particular place in the world to be interested in their struggles and want to help... we're all one at the end of the day.
wasn't pakistan formed after the colonials left? my family were in india to btw (only on one side...of my family that is)
Pakistan was formed through the ending of British rule, there was a lot of violence and bloodshed resulting from it. My family lost a lot of land in India. I'm not sure where I stand on partition really, I'd have to look more into it, but what's done is done. But India and its resources were raped by colonial rule....
