I was just thinking how I should give a shot to one of the newer FF games. I liked 7 at the time but god it was a time waster and a grinder. I would expect that from the new ones but I would think a good story and great graphics would make the game worth while.
I agree with you! Same here about World of Warcraft. And yeah, the singleplayer of Skyrim was a lot of fun. If we would measure all the details Morrowind would perhaps come out as the best game, but I definately had at least as much fun with Skyrim (which main story I actually finished ). And I didn't even use any mods to make it more entertaining. Me neither, but that's also because I never played them myself :-D But manga style in general does not appeal to me either.
cant stand ff7 myself,, after playing the snes and original ones (and the almighty chrono trigger), I tried ff7. wow, how lame, you have a guy w/ a huge sword that looks retarded, a dude w/ a machine gun for an arm, and the story looked stupid. (read up on it). I played 1 lvl in that game, and I just gave it back to my friend. as for oblivion, you have to put mods on it, I remember getting that game, lvl'ing up and starting to kill stuff. then all the sudden at lvl 10, I get killed by just rats lol. the lvl'ing up system is dumb as hell if you ask me. what I did is get the wyre lvl'ing up mod, and Francesco's mod. that made the game worth playing. also: I cant stand wii,, I hate that whole system
Call of Duty and Minecraft can SUCK IT. Though, oddly enough, I love playing their counterparts. Battlefield 4 and Terraria. Saints Row was great for a while, but the gameplay gets REALLY repetitive with the newer games. I loved Saints Row 2. I actually took GTA4 back to get it. Saints Row 3, couldn't stand at all even with the updated graphics (at that time) it was just too flashy and cliche. SR4 was pretty good, but again repetitive gameplay. Kind of like Oblivion. Just doing the same thing over and over and over again in order to complete the story. Though in SR4 there is a nice variety and the crazy dubstep cats that randomly attack you are really entertaining! I'd like to see how the new Saint's Row plays, even though it's obviously quite similar to SR4. Johnny Gat rules! but... GTA5 is the champ.
Just started playing skyrim i gotta agree that the leveling system is pretty bad but the rest is awesome.
No not at all..... I dont like any of these new pieces of trash games out now!!!!! (All crap) I like early 80s games...... FUN AND INNOCENT Newest game I like is the first Super Mario Brothers
actually, now that i've put a lot of hours into it, i actually like skyrim's leveling system. it's incredibly dumbed down from the standards of its predecessors, but if you look at it objectively and don't compare it to those other games, it actually does work quite well.
I love Morrowind! Played it when it first came out. I play Pirates of the Burning Sea now. The Devs suck very bad, they piss their players off, and they always screw things up.
Portal series. I just couldn't get into the story or whatever to stay interested in the puzzles. The 7th Guest was more interesting, and watching someone finish Grim Fandango that game was way funny.
it is still based on what skills you actually use and that has always been better than just getting XP for stuff. It is much more akin to real life than any other RPG levelingh system out there.
Well I put a lot of time into skyrim now and I hit a glitch where the town's people attack me for no reason. Fuck that game. Some bullshit after all the time I spent on it and now I can't go into a store because the bitches think I stole their money. I tried earlier saves and it always happens eventually. But Damon the game is so good I will start from the beginning again one day. If they try that Shit again I just might have to bust the disk in half.
It gets boring just killing everyone after a while. And then you run into the unkillable people and they are just annoying. Kind of like a fly buzzing around over and over.
is it literally everybody? i was thinking it was just one town that turned on you. so yeah, i would kill everyone in one town, not everyone in the game.
I did encounter a glitch somewhat similar like it, but I saved regularly and when it seemed I could not get the town return to normal at all I just took my losses and reloaded last good save (last autosave is of course always too new ).
i like alot of games that alot of people like...and im sure there are a few i play that make people miserable...hmmm...probably ESO on ps4 and Bloodborne...lots of folks hate eso, i got sucked right in ...there are dissapointing aspects of it but overall, the fun factor is there for me...Bloodborne is just a super fucking hard game, but im an 80's kid so super hard games are nothing new to me  (im looking at you castlevania and mega man)
