Have you seen any of the videos of Heavy Rain? It's a game made by the same people as Fahrenheit coming out for ps3, looks amazing.

And yeah, I played and beat Samorost a couple years back, fun game.

Oregon trail is a classic, I recently replayed it because I found it on a site online that emulated an old Apple computer.

no i hadn't seen heavy rain before, but i checked it now. i'm definitely going to play that
i lost my faith in nes games though after my stupid mario got stuck and i didn't understand what the heck was wrong. obviously i'm not intelligent enough

 

Heavy Rain looks great and seems to be a pretty interesting play.

I hated Oregon Trail since I always drowned.

Anyone play the Wii? I was playing Super Mario Galaxy on it but haven't gone to finish the game yet.
Currently I am trying to play Folklore but I suck sometimes and it pisses me off.

 

im going to buy a Wii when Monster Hunter Tri comes out in America.

Heavy Rain looks like an interactive movie. I wouldnt buy it but i would rent it to see whats up with it.

 

I read an article on how photo realistic heavy rain is. They are totally building it from the ground up using as much of PS3's untapped technology they can and even creating their own engine to power it. If all goes according to hype, this will be the most visually realistic game ever made.

 

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy was a pretty awesome game too, from what I've played of it (never finished it). Just the way it was set up was cool - like right at the beginning, it starts out with you in a bathroom, with a guy you just killed, and you have to hide as much evidence as possible. And then right after, you play as the cop that comes in and finds out, and you have to uncover any clues that you forgot to hide before. Fun stuff.

 

For PS3?

 

Heavy rain is ps3 exclusive, indigo prophecy came out for a lot of platforms - xbox, xbox 360, ps2. and they made it available to download on xbox live on 360 now.

 

lame. sound like a cool game and concept, but unless I can get for like $5, I wouldn't buy another PS2 game again. I am not the type that plays old game UNLESS it's SNES or older.

 

idk if you have an xbox, but it's 5 bucks on amazon for that. not so much on the ps2 version though.

 

nah..got rid of that enormous thing. I got tired of soldering the mother board back together.

 

Problem with Heavy Rain is it probably won't come out anytime soon or when they claim it will because I am sure it will take A LOT of work to make it perfect.

Assassins Creed came out too fast and it was no where near as great as it could have been, I wanted to play it real bad until I watched my husband play it and I fell asleep every time he put it in. Hopefully Assassins Creed 2 will be what the first one should have been.

 

Anyone remember the BS ubisoft pulled with assasins creed / haze. It was about 6 weeks befor christmas and both games were getting released, then they pulled haze and shelved it for another 6 months. They had all the in store displays and everything, it wasn;t like they had decided to stick it back in the dev cycle for 6 months they just wanted to push assassins creed. This was at a point when the PS3 was severely suffering from a lack of games and I was of the opinion haze looked quite good. I'm glad they did sit on it in a way because it turned out to be shit.

 

I definitely hope assassin's creed 2 is better than the first one. I never really played it too much but I watched my friends play it quite a bit and it looked like it got boring fast.

u cant even kill the civilians.
or swim.
i beat it in 2 days and returned it.

haze was a massive let down.
i also thought it was ganna be some cool ass thing.
and then the demo was released, and u could walk through trees.
made me not even bother renting the game.

 

any of you guys looked into scribblenauts at all? they showed it at e3, it's a puzzle game for ds where you can type just about anything and it will appear so you can use it. like they showed the guy making god on a skateboard with a shotgun fight cthulu, just for the fun of it.
