I love the show. Only read the first book, though I am surprised how very closely the show followed it.
My initial impression was that it was like LOTR with tits, though to be fair it really isn't that much like LOTR at all. The women are very beautiful too. It's becoming slightly problematic because I'm in the middle of the first season and I've had to clean my laptop twice. I'm usually not particularly into the fantasy genre but Game Of Thrones is an excellent show.
