Fun/Romantic Ideas

It’s been a year or so since Holly and I officially got back together. She loves the fall and I’ve been trying to think of something nice to do for her as kind of a one year thing. We haven’t had much time for us since the boys have been born and my parents offered to watch them for a night if we figure out something to do... the guys I work with give me meathead answers when I’ve tried to talk to them. I want to do something nice.

Any ideas?

 

Carve up a couple jacks & have yourself a damn fine home cooked dinner with candlelight & wine. Make sure you cook.

Course my idea of romance sure as shit didn't stop divorce so.......

I think if you need to post on a forum asking for fun romantic ideas there is something wrong with your imagination. Maybe stop being such a bore for one night of your life.

 

Build a fort

Crawl in, have a gin and tonic, smoke pot, fornicate

 

Hard to give non generic advice, since we don't know you and her.

I would probably cook dinner. I...don't really do that much, so I'd definitely make an effort.
Snuggle a lil bit.

Sorry Jude that was uncalled for. I was being nasty. That's about as nasty as I get. I think Eloise's idea is about as good as it gets right now, so I can't top that. You play guitar and sing right? Maybe write her a song. Have a candle lit bath. Wear a flower behind your ear and tell her you love her.

But yeah I guess you’re right about being a bore... used to be a fun dude but I have newborn twins at home and pretty much go to work and home now... not exactly getting a ton of sleep either so my brain is a little fried... haven’t even been out to eat with my girl since they’ve been born so just kind of asking around anywhere... this probably isn’t the place because no one here knows me or her

Just take her out to eat then, to a nice quiet restaurant. Then bring her home, open a bottle of wine, you know the rest

And if the babies will be sleeping over at their grandparents, let the tired mama sleep late the next morning. Clean the house while she sleeps. Thats probably the most romantic thing you can do for a new mom.

yep. drink the bottle of wine, open a second bottle of wine, drink the second bottle of wine, open a bottle of whiskey, drink the bottle of whiskey, hold each other's hair while taking turns vomiting, sleep on bathroom floor.
